To say this would be a real coup would be a major understatement. Beckham might be getting on about but people, myself included think he should still be involved in the England National team. I'd be surprised but Sven has already shown he has a bit of pulling power. As far as we are concerned I can't see a downside to this. This would sell shirts, put bums on seats and give us a world class player on our books..

I never really thought it would happen, but why would anyone actually tell stringer anything concrete. Beckham at this stage would be foolish to declare an interest in anyone. I strongly doubt beckhams "people" know what beckham has planned, anymore than Beckham himself.

Don't think it will happen, but it probably IS premature to say never.
