Possibly, although unlike Ince, Pearson has a bit more experience of the higher leagues, including a little Premiership experience with Newcastle if I remember right. No idea how he did mind :icon_lol: anyone know what his record was while in temporary charge of Newcastle or have I got the wrong end of the stick. Still it should be largely down to Milan whether or not we entertain offers for Pearson from other clubs.

I think he had one game and lost to Man Utd 6-0 :icon_lol:

He he had one game in the Premiership.....Newcastle lost 5-0.

Wasn't his team though really, he was just ditched in it from what I can remember!

I remember watching that game while I was at work, and I don't think I've ever seen a worse performance from a team! ;)

They were terrible and it could have been more far more than 5... but that was a crap team with no confidence, and it even took "King Kev" ages to get his first win when he took over after that... *edit* it was more than 5, it was 6-0 says Wiki.

And he actually had another game as well, he was caretaker for their game against Watford at the end of the 06/07 season when Roeder left. They drew that 1-1

I remember when he was caretaker at WBA for about 5 games, winning 4 and drawing 1 or something like that - was suprised at the time that they didn't appoint him.

goes about his business very quiety. doesn't get too excited (unlike some of the past idiots...!) or too negative. seems to have made good signings and seems to be well respected. I like the fact that he seems to be able to pluck players from the lower leagues. A very promising start NP. Well done!

"Wolves are close to completing a deal to sign West Ham United midfielder Nigel Quashie on loan for the rest of the season.

Quashie is at the Championship leaders' training ground to finalise his move just days after his spell at Birmingham City finished.

The 30-year-old had spent three months on loan at Birmingham and made 11 apppearances - two of which were against Wolves.

His last game for Blues was in the FA Cup defeat by their local rivals, which means he will not be able to make his debut in Saturday's fourth-round tie against Middlesbrough.

The Scotland international's impending switch to Molineux will end manager Mick McCarthy's quest to add a central midfielder to his squad.

McCarthy had also been chasing Bristol City's Marvin Elliott and QPR's Mikele Leigertwood, but has now agreed a deal for Quashie, who had been linked with Newcastle United.

Quashie will become the second West Ham player to join Wolves in the transfer window after winger Kyel Reid was signed on loan last week."

Could Davies be staying for the rest of the season now?

or forever?

Thats covered all the possibilities then. :icon_bigg So we still don't know. :icon_lol:

We're just waiting for Newts. he'll know.

I agree with one qualification. I get the impression that much of the credit for the signings whether from the lower leagues or the Bulgarian national team should go to Steve Walsh. Of course in the end Nigel Pearson has the final "yes or no." The team looks fit well prepared and well organised. There have been no unsavoury stories on the front pages of the tabloids. The recruitment of both permanent and loan players has been superb. I am sure I will be rightly called a Blue Mongie for saying it but I think the way the club has been run this season has been excellent.

So who brought Steve walsh in?
