Cracking three-points.

Just hope everyone remembers how well we did today the next time we lose a game, before they start moaning and saying how Weale needs to be replaced, Wellens isn't mobile enough, Gallagher doesn't work hard enough, King goes missing, Howard's too old, etc.

Players have off-days, today wasn't. Long may it continue.

Weale nowt to do
Back four very solid, and superb coming forward
Middle three simply excellent - Wellens in control, Abe putting in an incredible covering shift, and King looking more like Gerrard every game
And the front three were quite incredible. Howard just outstanding in every way (and MOTM by some distance), Gallagher putting in a storming game from start to finish, Vassell working his socks off and looking dangerous, and Dyer shining like a light at the close of the game

The way we stifled their passing game was a joy to watch - can't remember a City team working so hard for a long, long time, particularly the front three. Wonderful stuff

An excellent performance from everyone, and tactics from Sven were spot on :038:

Totally agree i thought Howard was immense today.he chased, harassed and the best bit about his play his passing to other City players...his best performance in a city shirt yet.

Wellens was master in the middle. Abe took the sweeper role covering for Naughton and Cunningham when they went forward. Abe is still a bit slow when players sneak up behind him but he is now tackling well and playing excellent passes to the midfield and front men.

Totally agree with all you said, H but felt the bit about the middle 3 warrants more praise...

To me, the trio show real signs of being the platform for the team to take us onto the next level. Particularly like the comment about King looking like Gerrard....if we can keep him in the Jan window, there is nothing in this league to suggest we couldn't still make the play-offs.

Good stuff.

Fautless performance and one of the most enjoyable matches I've been to in a long time.

Wellens was superb, not always his biggest fan but that was fantastic today.

That's what we didn't do against Sheff Utd in midweek so it's good to know we now have a manager who tells the players what is needed and gets it right.

Well at least he's not too orange like a certain MBE we all know.

Eight games ago we were rooted to the bottom of the league with five points and looking an absolute shambles.

Now we're nearer to the play off positions than the bottom three and starting to play with the swagger that comes with confidence. First outing of E-I-E-I-E-I-O for a while today and the love-in with Sven has begun. The man is doing an excellent job.

Nobody had a bad game today although special mention from me for Hobbs who turns up to find out he's been dropped after a bad game on Wednesday. With the late change he could easily have been off his game but his performance was spot on.

Also Howard and Wellens were immense.

I see from your Profile that "Tash" a City fan is one of your friends. She was recently going out with my son -well whenever he went to games at The Walkers- until it finished the other week.

You may have set it to that, but it still doesn't work.
If I log in to FB using the account we're friends on I can see them. If I'm not logged in, or logged in as someone else, I can't see them.

It does - we aren't 'Friends' but I've always been able to stalk look at Anita's pictures.

Changed as I hates my given name. :icon_bigg
I can see them fine enough. Bit odd that it seems to vary person to person! Great pics btw, shame you didnt get any of me though! :D

I knew it must've been their fault why they couldn't have seen them!:icon_razz

And another thing. Why didn't the sheep have poppies on their shirts?
