Can I ask why you think we would be granted an emergency loan in a position that we have 6 players without Fryatt?

Can people think, even if it's just a tiny bit before they post complete horse crap.

Heskeys Agent : "Hi Emile, its Peter"
Emile : "Hey Pete hows it going?"
Heskeys Agent : "Not bad at all, i had a very interesting call this morning"
Emile : "im listening?"
Heskeys Agent : "Well you know how you were saying you wanted the Summer off ?"
Emile: "Yes..."
Heskey's Agent: "Well, John Terry ****ed your Mrs."

He don't half get around...

The "emergency loan" system was brought in to allow clubs to get around FIFA's transfer window system by allowing them to sign players outside the transfer window.
It doesn't mean clubs have to have an "emergency" to get a player on loan.

Fair enough, I will put my hands up and say that I honestly thought a club had to gain permission to carry out an emergency loan, as im sure I can remember this happening in the past with a goalkeeper.

My second comment still stands, the stupidity of the first post cannot be compared to my misunderstanding of a rule, although I must admit I did expect that smiley, you use it quite often.

A goalkeeper would be considered a special case if the March transfer deadline day has passed, or if the club has already had its quota of loan players for the season.

Such a shame we just missed out on Tommy Wright. Don't know if you heard, he was released by Aberdeen but Grimsby snapped him up. Could have filled in nicely for Matty.

I think we could do with getting someone in... don't think Howard's good enough now, and still not seen/heard anything to suggest Yann is either.

In the meantime/if we can't get anyone, I'd go for Waggy with either N'Guessan or Gally. Probably N'Guessan.

Yes - I'm quite sure that there are loads of managers out there just waiting to loan us a striker who is primed to fire the goals to get us into the Premiership.

I would like to think that NP and MM did realise that the potential loss of Fryatt was likely to knock on the head a play off place but just couldn't identify the funds....rather than think that they seriously thought we could score enough goals and get by without Fryatt.

Lincoln played Danny as a striker now and again, so he would be worth a shout with Waggy. And Danny is good in the air.

Howard will be back in to hold the fort, with 2 of Waghorn, Dany and Gallagher playing off him in rotation.
You never know - it might pay off over the next 5-6 weeks versus shitter teams.

Shitter than Doncaster?

Waghorn is the obvious replacement for Matty. However, I do think he needs a striker with him. It may be that this was be Dany's best oposition. He seems to lack the ball control to be a good winger at Championship level. However, he is tall, strong, fast and brave. These can be the attributes of a good striker.
As a rule I do not believe in starting with a lone striker unless you have devastating wingers which we don't. A lone striker makes life too easy for centrebacks and any clearance from our defence just comes back at us again.
The great exponent of 4-3-3 was Sir Alf Ramsey who used two strong hardworking strikers in Hunt and Hurst. He also had a world-class attacker in Bobby Charlton. Nigel's options are somewhat more limited.
