Did then didn’t it?
I thought so but then I was trying to allow for different tastes and times changing etc. One might say, I guess tbf, that it hasn't aged well.

Edit: apropos of nothing, just me being reminded by the subject, they still do community raffles around here with a 1st prize of a microwave. A sodding microwave for cs. And people think the EPL is a sad indictment of where society is going.

Could be interesting, I really want to see his philosophy and see if the players understand it, whatever it is.

Listening to him speak (on the internet thing, I’ve never actually met him), I can imagine him using sarcasm when berating players. ‘That was a really ingenious pass to their player that set up the goal’. In an Italian accent.

Good job he wasn’t here last season. His sarcastic sentence would have come in more useful than about 70% of our squad + our manager.

Is anyone else on here sick to the back teeth of hearing about how ****ing nice the facilities are?

You could have the finest bone china on the world, but lay a turd on it and you'll still be consuming shit.

Reminds me of something someone said about our league winning team. ‘They have made ****s forevermore out of people who pretend that football is complicated’

Feels like with each passing year the club gets further and further from the conditions that made that possible, particularly keeping the players humble and hungry.
