Or we could lose and begin a new downward spiral. :icon_sad:
I'd much sooner lose to Man City than be away at somewhere like stevenage. If we were to draw a minnow and slip up I think it would be catastrophic for our season. Lose against Man City and the only loss is financial. (I await a barrage of criticism!)

**** me, why the negativity on here, we play above bar they play below = possible upset. Great draw. Exactly what the FA Cup is about!

It also leaves the more likely scenario that we'll be out after one game. An upset would be fantastic but I'd rather an easier game to progress to the next round. I'd rather us play against a load of shite up to the latter stages of the cup.

No pressure for our boys. Just go out and perform. If we could snatch a result, it could just provide us with the momentum needed for a play-off push.

Like Leeds, when they went on an awful run after beating Man Utd and almost messed up their season? :102:

(just playing Devil's advocate)

Fair point, but I think we have a lot more experience than that leeds side and I really believe that with some confidence the current squad could demolish most in the chumpionship.

we ALWAYS play better against superior opposition in 1:1 games.

'tis a tasty draw - spoilt only by the fact that (due to the Sven factor) it might be an attractive tie for the telly, which would result in a ridiculous kick off time and ruin the whole magic of FA Cup third round day

Third round day being the Sunday??

Third round day being the Sunday??

According to the Man City site, it could be played on Fri 7th Jan, Sat 8th, Sun 9th or Mon 10th.

Although I think reading an earlier post Sat 8th is unlikely due to the egg chasers being at home on TV that day.

Third round weekend, then

If the telly get hold of it we'll be playing on a feckin' Friday night, or six o'clock on the Sunday evening

Won't be the same

Yeah.... I hated it when we played and beat Spurs on a Sunday night a few years ago. Totally ruined it for me. :icon_lol:

Well whenever it is, I think we can more or less guarantee that it won't be on the Saturday as the tiggers are at home to Northampton that evening.
