There's slow, and there's slow

And then there's Lako.....

Neither

It's much better when we lose everything
I prefer drawing 4-4 after being 4-0 up at half time. You get that same 'lost the game' feeling, but come away with a point.
It's a bit like Quavers. Excitement at prospect of full stomach is followed by an empty feeling, but you still come away with 108 calories. And before any of you ask, they still dont do pickled onion flavour yet.

:icon_lol: You are my favourite Welsh person.

So you would prefer not to win things on the evidence of Portsmouth?

FFS.

It's the FA cup, does winning things not matter any more?

The Premier League has become such a global brand and potential money-spinner that winning promotion definitely goes under the heading of 'winning things'.

Does it?

I don't know why fans get so excited by the money the club would get if we get promoted.

A typical scenario for a Premier League club of our size:

Desperate to stay in the big money league they spend all the TV money on players, including obscene amounts on wages.
That doesn't really help them stay up though, because every other club has done the same thing. So they go into debt to spend some more. Which the other clubs also do.
So the promise of Premier League riches just leads to more and more debts.
The players signed are not worth the transfer fee or wages - but if you want them you have to pay the going rate, which is inflated because it's the big money league.
The football isn't any better - unless you only go to watch Man U and Arsenal.

Football was better when there wasn't such a big gap between the top division and the rest.

FA Cup - To be alive to witness and see our first ever fa cup triumph would be amazing I've already seen us gain promotion.
