Yes it does.

I'm not disagreeing with that.
But like I said, whether we like it or not, it's a major player in todays sporting events. It's not right that the FA Cup finalists only get 25,000 tickets each(or 30,000 if they are one of the big clubs) and then coporate get all the rest, to me, the corporate section should be the tier where they have the boxes and that should be it, I don't see why they should get tickets in other areas of the ground.

Then again, maybe I'm not as noble as you are when it comes to big match tickets like that, if I worked for a company who had a box and they offered up two tickets every year to the department I worked, I'd be quite happy to have a ticket when my chance arose but its not going to happen to me anyhoo, and the only chance I'll get of going is if Leicester get there.

Or maybe, it's because I have absolutely no wish to go to a cup final if City are not there. What would be the point; it would be a poor consolation for the real thing.

I'd quite like to go the World Cup Final as well, whether England ever get there or not.( Not probably)

It's the occasion I'd like to enjoy without any of the stress and nervousness of being concerned with the result and just hoping to watch a good entertaining game.

Knowing you had prevented a Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd fan etc etc from obtaining a ticket.

I saw that you said more further down. I read it and I read the more that you put in the post to which I am now replying. You miss my point about 'corporate' completely. 'Corporate' stops the people who should be at cup finals getting tickets - that's the beginning and the end of it.
No genuine Cardiff fan missed out on seeing that cup final because of 'corporates'. Our highest gate of the season was circa 20k including away supporters and we were allocated 25k tickets. Cannot speak with authority about Portsmouth but their capacity is about 20k too, with the same allocation, so similar situation.
Granted an exceptional final as it didn't include a 'top four' club, but tends to disprove your point.:)

Will your game definetly be on with Bristol on Tuesday? Tell me you are going to win as well?!

You fall into the trap of presuming that you have to go to every match to be a fan of a team. Even if it were true, one exceptional example does not mean that my observation is not valid.

And you fall into the trap of assuming that all fans are either able or willing to attend the cup final, which involves a large commitment of both time and money for a game which is comprehensively televised. Your observation in general tends to stand up. The fact you used the phrase 'that's the beginning and the end of it' tends to support my observation.

I think it's criminal to only offer 25k to each set of fans when the stadium holds 80k +

Just glad we got to go to Wembley when it was mainly for the fans and there were 40.000 or similar Leicester City fans there, it make for a great site and great atmoshphere.

Filling a ground with 30.000 corporate wankers is an atmosphere killer.

I dont have the same feelings for the new Wembley as the old one thats for sure.

In Wembley's defence, the 30k difference is not made up entirely of corporates. There are referees, and reps/players (past and present) from all the league clubs who get an allocation as a reward for their services, as well as the Wembley Club members who's monies enable such a stadium can exist when it's only used very infrequently through the year. Many of those tickets get into the hands of the real fans too one way or another.

In my opinion, the semi was a better day out anyway(probably cos we won and I stayed over instead of getting the supporters bus at 7am) and we got to take 35k to that. There are very few clubs whose season ticket holders can complain that they didn't get a shot at at least a ticket for the semi.

As for an atmosphere killer, I've been to Wales v England Six Nation games at the Millenium and the Wembley atmosphere is at least on a par with that.

When you've been there to watch the foxes a few times you might change your mind:icon_lol:

Ture.

Holding the Semis there is another thing I don't like about it.

I think holding the semi finals at Wembley pretty much sums up the point Boc is making about football authorities fecking our game and its' supporters for the sake of money. Teams like Portsmouth are dying a slow painful death and the FA continue to sniff out more sources of money to fund their shite, it'll be FA cup 3rd round qualifying games at Wembley soon

Hold 1 semi at Old Trafford and the other at the Millennium Stadium imo. It's all money laundering nowadays though, as long as the FA are lining their pockets they couldn't care about driving the FA cup into the ground.
