Mixed feelings about this. I think Fryatt has been great at times but he's not particularly strong or quick and really doesn't do the lone striker role. £1m isn't a bad price for an out of favour player from the glimpses we've seen of him this season you can probably understand why he's out of the team. But to me is still one of our best options upfront, just think Sven really should give him more game time, even if it's just at the end of matches so he has that opportunity to get the odd goal and build some confidence..
Personally I'd rather have him stay on, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if he went..
What's worrying me on a larger scale is Sven seems to be bringing in loans and older players which is surely not good for the long term future of the club? I would say it's not as if it's necessarily paying off either..

As Pearson is also signing Mclean from Peterborough, it will be 'hoof the long ball tactics' so that McLean can win the headers onto Fryatt. I don't think it will work.
Fryatt scored plenty of goals in League 1, which is probably where he is a potent striker. Not too sad to see him go. I was more disappointed when we swapped Jim Melrose for Tommy English!
