Has anyone posted anything about Dean Sinclair from Barnet?
Also what about this Jonathan Hayes fella?

I wonder what Mark Bright will make of our new and potential new signings.
Sappleton, Cort, Hellings, Sinclair, McLeod, Best.
Will he still think Leicester are a racist club?

you wait till Lako realises this

a very good player well done MA AND MM should be a great player for us this over the next few season's

What makes you think this Newts - he has been released by 3 clubs (joining lesser clubs each time) and we have just plucked him from minor league footie in Holland?

And why are others so unhappy with a player they've never seen before in their life?

Im neither happy nor unhappy, i've never seen him play so i can't say im happy or unhappy with his signing. Ill tell you after he has played 3 or 4 matches.

I agree with Jessel,I'm indifferent to all the signings so far

Not sure about this signing, its another unproven, could have the potential to be a great player but we need to be signing quality and not potential, we all know what happened when a certain Scotsman tried to do that. :icon_roll

I'm not worrying yet as there is still time left before the start of the season but am hopeful we will see another couple of 'wise heads' brought in through the door before the season starts.

Welcome to Leicester Sergio!! :038:

(is that really a blunt he has there Newtgot?) :033:

N'Gotty, Neilsson and Cort are hardly 'pottential' all three are experienced proffesionals. Also N'Gotty and Cort have shown quality in their careers. whether they can produce it now, with N'Gotty's age, and Cort's injury problems remains to be seen.

defender or midfielder............you decide

Maybe another kisnorbo?

I didn't expect Milan to spend much on transfer fees - so I am not disappointed in that respect.

As for the 'frees': N'Gotty is very much at the end of his career; Cort is a long term injury liability - and it's improbable that he will change at this juncture; Hellings as HF puts it is from a "minor European league" and from what I can make out has been playing on an amateur contract.

We have to strip out the club's spin on signings from the reality. So far I think the quality of the players brought in has been totally uninspiring.

It looks to me like Milan is going to have a close look at Allen's work before risking any money - and frankly Allen so far is not going to have much to work with.

Sorry for being so negative but that is the way I see it - and unfortunately such judgements have proved usually more right than wrong.

I get the sense that Milan thinks he is doing enough to ensure that we don't get relegated next season - but unless things change radically in the next few weeks then I think any talk of a promotion challenge with this sort of quality of playing strength would be absurd. If Milan wants to do something next season then I'm afraid he is going to have to raise his spending game.

But RF if this is Milan's club and Milan's influencing the signings etc... then why would it matter what signings were being made and the money spent? My point is that buying quality players will make a difference. Whoever manages them.

But he's said he wants to be up in 3 seasons not 1. Next season is about steading the ship and hopefully getting in the top half.

The point I was trying to make is that Milan is clearly not looking to push the boat out - and I don't think any quality signings have been made at all so far.

Signing has beens like N'Gotty or potentially Trevor Sinclair is not my idea of quality. Similarly, Hellings is so obviously someone on the scrapheap.

Comparisions are being made with MON's early signings. In my opinion nothing could be as dissimilar. MON invested tidy little sums in players like Lennon and Izzet who were recognised potential - but he took the gamble. The players being signed don't fit in those categories at all.

I am sure that Milan has the sense to strengthen the squad to the point of avoiding relegation - and has appointed a manager who will put a bit of stick about. But as for quality and promotion prospects - not in my book.

Let's see where we are and what team are out against Blackpool. I think more signings will be made which will raise our hopes....So far none of the signings IMO are poor.

But you havent seen 2 of them play Alex, they might be poor they might not be but you can't say for certain they won't be,how many games have you seen Nielsen and Hellings play? I'm not saying they are poor or good in truth none of us know.

Totally agree on the first point but on the second point I don't agree. If that is the case he should never have appointed Allen.

you havn't seen them play and you are saying they are not good enough, so instead of playing a stupid guessing game we just have to wait and see.

I never said they weren't good enough,I said they were hardly inspiring, two completely different things.I've seen Carl Cort play and on the evidence I've seeen I don't think he's good enough but I will give him a chance in a City Shirt.
