I'm sorry but Wigan Athletic are poo. I know they are a division above us, but that is probably only the second time in 100 odd years.

That we are even having to compete with them shows how far we have fallen.

put it in his mind, would you if you were going to a foregin club, eg levante in la liga, or real sociadad in liga 1, and you had the chance to play against the best players in world, eg madrid, barca, who would you go too?

....or go to Levante earn 5k a week or go Sociedad earn 15k a week and a spell of good form means you get bought by a team from a higher division and you are only 21. Plenty of time to play the likes of Barca.

They only joined the league towards the end of the seventies. It shows more how much they've risen than how far we've fallen. The position we're in now is similar to where we've been for much of our time in the league.

and is exactly what other clubs were thinking around ten years ago when we were in the prem.

They earnt the right to be there and still the best fizzy team IMO to visit the Walkers in recent years.
 
Hopefully he can be convinced by the fact that Wigan have no fans and are likely to go down this season. Maybe we can trick him into thinking we're in the Premiership still as well? ;)

He's a left-back, Cameroon U-21 international, played for Nantes, never broke through the first team, reserves only (remember Glombard, the very brief player for us managed a couple of games for Nantes 1st team).
