Bought my first place in January. From my (very limited) experience, if you have a lawyer that you trust and who is helpful, the process really isn't that bad. Obviously stressful because of the money involved though. Good luck...

Lawyer is my other halfs sister and isn't charging us apart from we'll take her out for a meal once we've completed. Bonus!

Going down to London today to do touristy stuff and then watch Wicked! tonight, going to Windsor tomorrow to see my mates daughter, and my mate Alex is flying in from Switzerland tonight for the Cov game, but I won't see him til tomorrow obviously.
