"The best footballing side we have seen all season, by a country mile"

If football is head tennis, Olympic diving, kung fu, garment grabbing, wrestling, speed, and sporadic talent, yes, I agree. They were spectacular in all those areas.

But it isn't that, is it?

It was the best competitive match all season, but that's a different thing. And we won.

So what does that say?

I suspect this puts us over the top to be honest. For a fact it puts us 18 points clear of Leeds, which gives me a warm, fuzzy, feeling inside.

MK Dons drop a few points here and there and we are laughing.

MELTON!!!! We have another Wednesday 13 follower here.....:038:

You missed out referee-surrounding. They very quickly realised that they weren't going to be able to cope with Howard and did everything they could to get him booked and disable his normal game.

Huddersfield are a talented outfit but take gamemanship to the nth degree - and for that alone, I hope they stay down.

Best game I've seen for ages.

Used our get out of jail free card today

King had an absolute shocker, and I thought Fryatt and Dyer were woeful until the tide had already turned. Thought Cleverly was a wee bit shit, but it's all opinions, ain't it ?

But we are going up, now, aren't we ?

Is it right Pearson has picked King for all our league and FA Cup starts this year?

I listened to the match on RL yesterday. Stringer was in high praise over his second half performance.

Not wanting to open the debate again but from what I've seen of him, King seems to quietly go about his work scoring the odd goal. There's times when I've thought he was shocking and others have said he played okay. I guess it is opinions and he is a young player so there will always be room for improvement. I hope he sticks around to develop into a good midfielder at the club.

My Dad the most cynical view point I know has finally suggested we may be good enough to go up, hope that helps :icon_wink

it was good to hear le tissier on SSN say that he was impressed with the quality of the game. I am enjoying this season.....hope next will be as good. :)

Just back to rainy Chigwell. Very enjoyable game - As everyone says, they were the better side for 60 mins, when we went 3-2 up though there was only ever going to be one winner.

The kids have also seen there first win now. Hopefully more to follow. They were even allowed back in the car at the end of the game.

Did you break down?

i couldn't even see how he put it in tbh but clearly he didn't mean it, but just what he needed after a short dry patch-and he celebrated like he enjoyed it too ;)

For sixty minutes they were by far the better side - head and shoulders above anything we have seen in this league this season. Fancy them for a definite play-off place if they can keep that up

Incredibly, though, they completey self-destructed - never seen anything quite like it, really. The positive thing is that we were able to step up and take advantage of it, and we murdered them in the last quarter of the game

Top notch entertainment.

Apart from the first 15 minutes, Hobbs was truly outstanding - an immense display in every way. Morrison looked steady again too

id go along with that, hobbs motm for me, i thought cleverley was nervous in first half he looked a bit lost but in the 2nd half he played a lot better he looks good!!!
