just had a chat with a business acquaintance who was at the game in a professional capacity - (as a scout though he was quick to add that his employers couldnt afford any of our team). the points he made were varied and included the obvious ones that most teams in our league curently see us as the benchmark by which to test themselves and raise their game accordingly, that barnsley could be likened to a pack of jack russells chasing round a load of afghan hounds. assuming sven has the capabilities to get the players to recognise their responsibiliteis, the big concern from his perspctive was beckford's attitude which he said, for someone on their debut, stank.

Beckford was clearly, and quite rightly, bemused by the booing at half time. I wonder what he was saying to Lloyd Dyer as they walked off in conversation with Beckford eyeballing the away end.I think we all know that Beckford has attitude; it's a huge part of what makes him the player he is. Yes, it was noticeable on Saturday - but I am sure that I would have attitude too if I suffered from lack of support in the way that he did. He's not going to be able to do it all on his own.
Are you barking!!!

Ross is a lovely player. Right up to point where drink gets the better of him and he totals his sports car into a fence outside Harvester.First game, he set up a goal. Second game, he gave Brighton plenty of issues. I think you're over-rating McCormack myself.
Not really! A couple of seasons ago he scored 22 league goals for Cardiff who also had good strikers on the books and this season 8 league goals in 8 games and is now the main man. He is not over rated for this league. Don't forget he has only just 25 years old. Surprised you think i'm over rating him. What I said about him was true. He has created a lot for himself. Ive not put him on a pedestal..
I remember a certain few on here saying the same thing about Max Gradel when Leeds bought him and the fact he will impress then go missing. That never happened and he became a better player. Ross is on form, scoring for fun and playing well. 'If' he falls by the wayside and starts to stutter then fair enough but I don't see any evidence of that so far.
Really, I did not know that. Were any of them penalties? Not really! A couple of seasons ago he scored 22 league goals for Cardiff who also had good strikers on the books
