just had a chat with a business acquaintance who was at the game in a professional capacity - (as a scout though he was quick to add that his employers couldnt afford any of our team). the points he made were varied and included the obvious ones that most teams in our league curently see us as the benchmark by which to test themselves and raise their game accordingly, that barnsley could be likened to a pack of jack russells chasing round a load of afghan hounds. assuming sven has the capabilities to get the players to recognise their responsibiliteis, the big concern from his perspctive was beckford's attitude which he said, for someone on their debut, stank.

I think we all know that Beckford has attitude; it's a huge part of what makes him the player he is. Yes, it was noticeable on Saturday - but I am sure that I would have attitude too if I suffered from lack of support in the way that he did. He's not going to be able to do it all on his own.

Beckford was clearly, and quite rightly, bemused by the booing at half time. I wonder what he was saying to Lloyd Dyer as they walked off in conversation with Beckford eyeballing the away end.

I was trying to read his lips. I'm sure his first three words were "what", "the" and "****".

Our fans will get what they deserve.

So now our negative, brain dead, wanker fans will put me off going to away games as well.

That leaves me with no games, cheers you ****ing useless bell ends.

...is it significant that your post came straight after the ''stringer 1's post Lako?

How is Beckford getting on at Leicester? Quite surprised to see he hasn't scored yet but I did watch the game today and he didn't get the delivery that he likes to feed from. Not sure if Sven needs to shift things around a bit but Beckford won't create much himself and will wait on that cross/throughball etc. He will score but in all honesty looking at him today compared to our striker in Ross Mc Cormack i'm pretty glad we have Ross Mc Cormack. He's not as fast granted but he has been very clinical this season and he's created a lot for himself and works damn hard. Beckford will come good but maybe need to use him more as a target man.

First game, he set up a goal. Second game, he gave Brighton plenty of issues. I think you're over-rating McCormack myself.
Ross is a lovely player. Right up to point where drink gets the better of him and he totals his sports car into a fence outside Harvester.

Not really! A couple of seasons ago he scored 22 league goals for Cardiff who also had good strikers on the books and this season 8 league goals in 8 games and is now the main man. He is not over rated for this league. Don't forget he has only just 25 years old. Surprised you think i'm over rating him. What I said about him was true. He has created a lot for himself. Ive not put him on a pedestal.

All I'm saying is that Im surprised Beckford hasn't scored yet.

Rhydal's just got him spot on. He has something to prove at the mo, as soon as he feels he's entitled to something...he starts to stutter.

I remember a certain few on here saying the same thing about Max Gradel when Leeds bought him and the fact he will impress then go missing. That never happened and he became a better player. Ross is on form, scoring for fun and playing well. 'If' he falls by the wayside and starts to stutter then fair enough but I don't see any evidence of that so far.

What about last season then...2 goals in 21 games.

Last season he rarely started and when he did play Grayson had him as a lone striker.(Grayson's fault) He hasn't got the pace to be a lone striker. Like I said earlier I never said he had pace. When he is alongside someone like he is this season he plays well.
