If a player is not doing that he deserves criticism and that is precisley why Beckford has been singled out, he clearly is not and has not given of his best in the matches he has played.

How many of the other players in the squad have given 100%? Danns, Mills, Wellens, Vassell, Gallagher,Dyer...??

He's a good player, just hasn't his stride with us yet. I reckon when he gets going there will be no stopping him.
 
It's good that after maybe 10 performances our fans have already written him off as a failure. If we could boo him at the next home game in front of the Leeds fans then it would be good, we could probably ruin any desire he has to play and then blame him with our usual vitriol.

No one has written him off, but he has been a failure so far. We all want him to come good, but there's no excusing his performances thus far.
 
When we played Birmingham, I watched it on the TV and there was a shot of him in the dugout just before he came on and he seemed to be having a bit of a barney as if he really wasn't bothered about coming on. I thought to myself at the time why have we wasted our money on him? I really don't think he's going to be the 20 goal a season scorer that people were clamouring for.
