We buy good players, we boo them, they become crap, we get rid, they find love, they score with gay abandon.

After standing next to Jordan Stewart on Euston platform for 15 mins on Saturday evening are you referring to scoring with Jordan Stewart abandon.

He was shite. No invention or guile at all and he looked very disinterested tbh. Once Steve Howard came on we looked like a different side. I don't think he personally did much to applaud, but the rest of the team played much better once he was on. Beckford's attitude when he got subbed was a disgrace. He started running off and everyone cheered for Steve Howard and when he heard that he stopped running, shot the Leicester fans a dirty look and walked the rest of the way. Tosser.

That was because the City fans were throwing gestrures and calling him a 'wanker' and all sorts.

This is another disaster in the making.

We sign him having probably told him that we are on fire and heading for the Premier League - and then he finds out that we are actually quite ordinary and he doesn't get the service he expects. He loses confidence; the fans start getting at him and things get worse.

He's probably not as good as we wanted to believe - after all Everton are short of fire power but they were willing to get rid. But he's probably no where near as bad as he's playing at the minute. Confidence is almost all in this game.

Anyway, did we remember to keep the receipt when we bought him? Otherwise it'll be difficult asking Everton to take him back.

Stop making excuses for the mardy, lazy fecker. I have seen Konchesky and Dyer put plenty of crosses across the box and he is never there. So cut the crap on the poor service. And I do not accept this whole confidence thing either. This is not a shy, retiring 16 old making his debut. This is a 28 year old with nearly 300 club appearances and nearly 150 goals.

He needs to grow up, stop spitting his dummy out, get stuck in and take responsibility for being part of a team.

The patience of the masses is certainly wearing a bit thin for JB.
Not asking him to run around like a headless chicken, but show he has the ability to become a success at City.
Completely missing the ball, heading over under no pressure, control of a 12 year old, is not the showings of a £4million player. At least Ade Badbuy tried!

He hasn't cost £4million

Fernando Torres lost confidence and suffered for it.

I agree that's the way it normally happens, But I would remind you that the first sign of any contretemps between Beckford and the fans came at half-time at Barnsley - his debut - just 45 minutes into his City career. Too early for him to make his mind about the service he's going to get; too early for him to have lost confidence and certainly too early for even a single fan to start getting at him.

Your suggestion that it's another disaster in the making seems to me to be wholly correct. But the answer to the chicken-or-egg debate in this instance leaves me very worried for the future of the club. Hazz and DD have already mentioned the similarity to "the DJ Campbell situation. To lose one striker in this fashion may be regarded as a misfortune; the possibility that we might lose another looks like ****ing stupidity.
