I think we should call our movement the following as it best describes the varying organisations involved with our club and their tendency to only listen to the viewpoints of the small minority.

Collective Against Subjective Hearing

OG............ wake up to the fact the FT treat you like mushrooms, keep you in the dark and feed you bullshit.

Look at the fiasco of the Birch being made redundant, they didnt know what the feck was going on and were not told anything by the higher powers. It took them a long time to come up with the name "Bucci". It seems they just let snippets out to keep the masses happy....

Also I was not on about losing money via shareholding. I lost money due to business involvement, and I am also not one of the creditors who stand to get at least a few pence in the pound over a period of time either.

1. First two paras. OK that's your view, & presumably why you see no point in being a member of the Trust. Fair enough. I have no illusions that as a Trust member I somehow get all the inside information - any more than I did when I was an individual shareholder. I do however believe that there is some modest influence on the club's activities at least on a par with other shareholders.

2. I know from previous postings that your loss was a commercial one. I'm sorry you, like a number of businesses large and small) got caught with a bad debt - I have had therm too, and until not long ago as a member of an audit committee had to see millions written off. The point I was trying to make was that does not somehow make you more of a supporter than anyone else. (if it were true then the likes of the Inland Revenue would have to be counted as LCFC's biggest fans!)

I was responding to your argument (that someone who does not buy a ST is not a "real" supporter whose views deserve to be listened to) by demonstrating three ways (shareholding, club membership, trust membership) that many people have put money into the club with no hope or expectation of any material return.

I'd leave it OG!

On here the FT and everything is damned if they do and damned if they don't. If the FT hadn't had a chance for supporters to put questions to the chairman, no doubt people would moan that they weren't doing their job.

Personally, I don't know if the FT are particularly useful, but people who have paid £10 clearly do and as such they should get chance to ask questions and air their views.

Incidentally BG, just cause you are a customer doesn't entitle you to have a say in the running of a company. EG. I shop at Sainsburys, but I don't think that Lord Sainsbury would be particularly open to suggestion from every customer he has, thats the right of the shareholder.

i cant believe how much stick you lot give the ft representative who comes on here. dispicable :)

Read what I post. My main concern is not the financial stability or the running of the club, because I think the board is the best we have had in ages, but more to the facilities we are offered. I think for a brand new stadium they have to be the worst available.
Comparing shopping to a football club is stupid, I would shop at any supermarket it would not bother me where I go, but I could not go and follow say Cov or Derby, because the prices or facilities were better.

I have never said that, all I was saying is that a ST holder is more valuable to the club, than someone who hardly ever goes.
Not being able to go on a regular basis does not or should not make you a lesser fan. What I am saying is that these question and answer events should be open to everyone.

Do you believe that there should be no right to criticise the FT? If not, why should they not be criticised here?

The FT seem to be given free rein to advertise themselves and their dealings here (a service that is denied to others), so I think it is only fair that people should feel free to criticise them here as well.

Why is not available to others?

Because they don't put the time & effort in to read & respond to message board posters - there is nothing to stop any of the Supporters Club, ISA, FAR or whoever doing the same.

I wasn't really thinking about the SC, ISA or FAR. I was thinking about any organisation that might ask for £10 for their services.

Please don't misunderstand me. I think it is right that the FT should be able to use the forum in the way that they do and I have said nothing which would suggest otherwise - but I would also insist that the right to question or criticise them here should also exist.
