I thought Hughes was one of our better players today, apart from his shooting, which he deserves shooting for. I think he had four attempts and all were woeful.
Maybury was one of their best players, he certainly passed it to Leeds players more than he did to our players.

There was no decent service from the wings.
I thought it was funny people getting excited about Newton before the match, as though he was the answer to all our problems. I don't think he even got a cross in until about an hour had gone. Certainly not the Premiership quality people were expecting.

The linesman in the second half pissed me off more than any of our players though. He gave offside three times when it clearly wasn't. I usually defend the officials but that idiot really was useless. Once when Hammond would have gone clear and he was definitely onside, and twice when we broke clear on the left, with Hughes then Porter, he gave offside when someone in the middle was in an offside position but the player the ball went to was nowhere near offside.

The ref's watch wasn't working. There was a stoppage of about 5 minutes in the first half when Leeds had a player stretchered off - but he only played three minutes stoppage time. In the second hal the board went up for 4 minutes, then during stoppage time there was a long stoppage when the ref dealt with a handbags incident in the Leeds penalty area, and he still blew before four minutes had been played. And he didn't seem to add anything on for all the Leeds timewasting.

Sorry I'm not having that ,what exactly is this based on?the guy was woeful.Hume and Kisnorbo are the only two who emerged with any credit IMO.Porter,Newton and McCauley were ok...The rest were absolutely cluelesss,Hammond is a joke footballer surely:102: Made the effort to come down and watch us,as long as Kelly remains in charge I shall not be bothering again.Absolutely awful..

Man it sounds like you guys are going through a lot of pain.
I feel your pain.
This is one season that can not end quick enough.
Then the Milan clearout will start.

Yes, the season has been miserable on the field - but the bigger picture is reasonably bright because of the takeover.

The rest of the playing season looks futile from our point of view. As you say the sooner it's over the better so Milan can kick out as much of the dead wood as possible and bring in a football manager (which will be a change).

Kelly has to go, what limited funds he has had at his disposal he has pretty much wasted, he has had 3 attempts at solving the Right wing problem and 2 attempts at signing a left winger, and McAuley apart his signings have been pretty average at best.

His tactics are cautious and negative, the football sterile and bland. I will be amazed if he survives the season to be honest. The positivity of the Mandaric takeover will soon be diluted by the stagnate performances on the pitch and IMO Milan has to act now to ensure that the momentum gained by the takeover is maintained until the end of the season.

Kelly must ensure a really good performance against QPR and 3 points. City's recent displays have given cause for concern and a fall back into the relegation mire would be unforgivable. As it is, I can't see Kelly keeping his job beyond the end of the season. The team just doesn't appear sufficiently motivated, despite what the Birch might say on the Phone-In.

However, it is doubtul Wise's men will face a side so lacking in invention and quality as Leicester were last night and for that reason it means this was a case of two points dropped rather than one gained.

From the Yorkshire Post

Spot on I would say. Down in London the local paper following the Palace show asked questions as how a team so inept and lacking in creativity or guile had been on a 6-match run prior to Selhurst's crap. Can't disagree really.

I have yellow fingers today but I'm pretty sure I had a donner rather than a chicken tikka.

Don't agree with you at all. Hughes had a decent game except(like Webbo Says) his shooting. AJ has been uninterested the last couple of games and I find it interesting that he wasn't even on the bench. Newton was disappointing as was Maybury again(wish he would learn to pass intead of hoofing it anywhere especilly to the opposition). Nils got caught out early on but recovered for a decent game and the two centre backs were outstanding although it was against a crap forward line. Sorry to say but I think that Horse needs a rest again, he had no energy and was of his normal game in a big way(maybe it's an age factor thing).

Hughes improved in the 2nd half but wasn't good.

I stand by the fact that Jarrett played well (not brilliant just well). He picked up nearly every 2nd phase ball broke up a number of their attacks and made some decent forward runs. His passing at times was astray but most of the time it was simple and kept possession.

I was saying to my old man that if we had someone next to him with a bit of class to do the creative side that he'd be a decent aquistition for next season.

I await the tirade of "rubbish" - "hes crap" - "get rid" etc etc
