In the ten seasons since we last went up in 2003, only two sides have had more points than we have with 20 games left (2008/09 Wolves & 2005/06 Reading). Both ended up as clear Champions. We've got more points than Newcastle when they romped the league or Cardiff did at this point last season.

Relegation form over the next twenty matches (i.e. a point a game) would give us 77 points.
Average form (1.5 average) for the remaining matches would give us 87 points.
If we continue with the form so far this season, we'll end up with 100 points.

If we fail to get promoted from here, it will go down as the biggest blow up since Newcastle under Keegan.

Nice stats! Good work, BN!

I'd be interested to see the stats on how long Vardy does stay on for, on average.

He has started 23 games and completed the 90 minutes in 11 of them. The earliest he has been substituted was at Charlton where he only lasted to 67 minutes; a fortnight later he lasted until the 89th minute when Wigan were the visitors. His 'average' substitution time is 79 minutes. He has also appeared once as substutite, at F!"£$t where he joined the skirmish in the 61st minute.

Average time on the field is 82 minutes.

NB League games only.

So the commentators were wrong then saying it was always Nugent who comes off but Vardy booking meant he had to.

Seems some Twat on FT has been spreading bullshit about De Laet, reckons he attacked him last night when out.

How about this one. With twenty games left, this is who was top, with what points and where they ended up over the last ten seasons. Nine out of ten went up automatically, including the last eight. We've got five points more than the only side to fail (Ipswich). Seven out of ten went up as Champions.

2003/4 - Norwich (52) - Champions
2004/5 - Ipswich (52) - Not promoted
2005/6 - Reading (65) - Champions
2006/7 - Birmingham (53) - Runner Up
2007/8 - WBA (47) - Champions
2008/9 - Wolves (58) - Champions
2009/10 - Newcastle (55) - Champions
2010/11 - QPR (49) - Champions
2011/12 - Southampton (50) - Runner Up
2012/13 - Cardiff (56) - Champions

Nugent's stats:
25 starts - subbed off 14 times - earliest 52 minutes - latest 89 minutes - 'average' subbed time 73 minutes.

He also came on as sub in a single game and, like Vardy, he came on in the 61st minute (first game of the season at Middlesbrough)

Average time on pitch = 78.5 minutes

So yes, they were wrong in saying always. But he has been subbed off more often than Vardy, earlier in the game than Vardy and has spent less time on the pitch per game than Vardy has.

The most startling fact though (or perhaps not so startling) is that they have only lasted the full 90 together on four occasions.

You're getting me all hot and bothered now BN.

It could show we are confident with our attacking options from the bench? Although I'd wager they were more often replaced with midfielders as we tend to be in the lead and needing to shore up.

This is turning in the the Unofficial TB Stats Thread. I like it! Spreadsheets? Joe_?

Leicester support yesterday

Leeds fans are obviously miffed to lose out on a point so late in the game yesterday, but are posting about our crap support.

"Final word goes to the Leicester fans, worst support this season at Elland Road."

I wasn't at the game yesterday & I know leeds is an intimidating place to go..... Did we not take many, or did we sell out the away allocation as usual but didn't sing?

I would imagine all who travelled went bonkers when Nugent scored with 2 minutes to go

Perhaps the fact that the robbing gets charged City fans eight quid more than they did their own fans had something to do with it. Perhaps the fact that many City fans would have had to get up at the crack of dawn to be there in time for the kick-off had something to do with it. Perhaps the fact that you could watch it in the comfort of your own home or local pub rather than suffering a freezing cold day in a northern shit-hole had something to do with it.

City had an allocation of 1487 tickets of which over 1100 were sold in advance. You could also pay on the gate and the total number of City fans at the match was 1243. What the Leeds fan seems to have ignored is that there were only 21k of his own mates there. Perhaps the rest of them knew what the result of the game was likely to be and stayed away despite the bargain admission prices that were available to them.
