He probably doesn't have an u umlaut (ü) on his keyboard. He could write it as ueber to get round that problem. :icon_wink



Or he could hold down ALT while he types 0252 on his numeric keypad.
 
I think you need numlock on for that aswell

Only on a laptop that doesn't have a numeric keypad. Otherwise you just need to use your numeric keypad and not the numbers across the top of your keyboard.

But on a normal keyboard the number pad operates as arrow keys unless you have numlock on.

That's not the way that I would have a keyboard set up, but I acknowledge what you mean.

me neither, it would be daft! however their are some people at work who turn num lock off, I make a point of turning it on whenever I use their computer. Laugh a minute I am.
