That’s not the bet.

You believe we won’t get another point all season.

Brentford are better than us, they are an established premier league side. Doesn’t make them unbeatable, and certainly doesn’t make our Friday night game a write off.
I didn't think we would survive after the 0-3 defeat to Wolves and then the lose to Palace and Fulham without reply, the 4-0 lose to Everton is where I gave up completely.

I'm glad you still have faith but I really can't see another point unless things change massively.

Well, for all his lack of talent, no one works harder for that team than Ayew. Again today, he ran himself into the ground but if we're honest, he just isn't quite good enough to provide the creativity we need. I also think Okoli and Ndidi deserve credit for their performances. Coulibaly was excellent when he came on and is a huge step up defensively, from Justin.

We defended very well for 80 minutes and there were some patches of really, lovely football from us at times. But for a phenomenal piece of defending from Skelly we'd have been one up. It was a much, much better performance than we have seen for a while.

BUT...

Faes and Kristiansen did what Faes and Kristiansen do; they switched off completely for a few seconds and that's all it takes. Thomas is a better defender than Kristiansen and really should be ahead of him in the pecking order. Despite the usual nonsense about Mavididi, he injected a little more pace and a lot more creativity into our midfield but it wasn't backed up by any of our other forward players.

In the end, it's the same problems. Defenders switching off, attackers not getting into the right spaces at the right times. That won't be solved with our current squad of players.

Crazy thing is, with this squad, I actually think we’d do really well in the Championship.

Question is, who stays if we go down? Mads going will be a massive loss but welcome revenue…if we get a decent amount for him.

If we keep the nucleus of players together, add some youth, we could again push for promotion. With someone half-capable signing players, I think we’d have a better chance if we came back up. So. Rudkin **** off basically.

We have to keep as many players as possible. Unlike last time, we can’t lose our best 8 players, with embargo’s and dedications looming etc.
we have the chance and should be looking to imitate the 2015-16 squad.

the achilles heel is our DoF!!

Low quality stuff from both sides, but we completely held our own with the second placed team in the league with absolutely ease for 80 minutes. Sadly the lack of defensive quality did for us in the end. Overall it was a pretty decent effort, I thought

Okoli was very good and must start every game. Coulibaly was also very good, and I cannot believe he’s not been getting a game. Truly baffling. Ndidi and Soumare grafted, Vardy kept the back line busy, but was playing alone

Faes was total shite, Shitpants was utterly ****ing pointless in every ****ing way. Total ****ing shithouse.

Our best player, by some distance, was Ayew. Sure he’s not a quick winger, but he’s an absolute grafter and caused them some serious issues. His best game in a City shirt by an absolute country mile, so what the ****ing hell was the manager doing in taking him off? He looked shocked and pretty devastated as he went off, and you can’t ****ing blame him. I felt the same

This bloke is a hopeless clueless **** with no ****ing imagination whatsoever. Here’s an idea, you ****tard - try ****ing Mavididi (or Buonanotte) on the ****ing right, instead of someone who genuinely contributed **** all for the who,e game. They’re both capable of something different so stop sticking to some ****ing predetermined script. Or, God forbid, why not try changing the ****ing formation (not just for five ****ing minutes when we’re already beaten). Just. ****ing. Do. Something. You. Useless. ****.

This ****ing twat is as effective as the great sea change, don’t like it up ‘em, sack the Board, demonstration. Absolute ****ing embarrassing, pointless, flaccid pile of shit.

Anyone got Dean Smith’s phone number?

Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of protest? Saw nothing whatsoever on the way to the ground or inside it. Heard some shouting for a few seconds and that was it.

It was shit. Almost non existent.

Good job as well, as it might have affected the result had it been loud enough......

Meh. Easily getting bummed off the likes of Everton and Wolves is what is sending us down. Can't give two shits that we might have tried in a less winnable fixture. Bunch of ****s.

he works hard but has no end product, his passing is piss poor and he routinely loses the ball in vital areas.

he cannot track back and is knackered after 20 mins.
Mate, this is bollocks.

I've made no secret of the fact that I don't think he's a great player but he is constantly working hard both going forwards and tracking back; harder than any other player in our squad. He is also far less responsible for losing the ball in daft areas than Soumare, Winks, Mavididi, Buonanotte, Kristiansen.... I could go on.

Bad idea to watch match of the day isn’t it.

Wout Faes appears to think he’s a striker. He never seems to be in position to block, prevent or even dissuade strikers.

Same for Kristiansen actually. So much space given to his man.

NB Mikel Merino “this is the first time I have ever played striker”

Yup, sounds about right.
We said who hadn’t scored for ages
Who doesn’t score very often
Etc
Did anyone have “has never played a striker, ever”?

In isolation yes totally fine performance. The often required luck playing a big six side departed us but by comparison, Cooper got two chunks of it at the Emirates.

However we need points and we will always look comfortable against the top sides on the ball.

The likes of Arsenal don’t feel the need to press us as strongly bevauae they will have 70% of the possession.

Next Friday, Brentford will come here with a stronger strike force for one and press the living daylights out of the back four and two centre midfielders. We will look disorganised, terrible in possession and lose 3-0.

We are back to Cooperball and selection. Now the luck and a goalkeeper on incredible form has disappeared
