Not easy for Mills, his first home game and playing against his former team who he has left acrimoniously.
So what was his excuse in the other two games?

We were the better side until they scored
Anybody know why the crappy X-Factor guy with the big hair was getting booed so much? Has he upset us in a previous life?
We had seen the Thai dancers who...must have pleased those who like that kind of thing.
We then had three singers who...were excellent.
Schmeichel - 6 - Abandoned by his defence for both goals, did as well as he could.
Pantsil - 3 - Appalling distribution, surrendered possession far too often.
Mills - 3 - For the third game running, absolute and utter shit. Needs to improve asap or he's a costly error.
Bamba - 6 - Casual, risky, gets away with it. Every ****ing time. Classy.
Konchesky - 4 - Impressive going forward, poor in defence. Left for dead by Manset late on, which summed his game up.
Wellens - 4 - Totally ineffective, misplaced too many passes.
Abe - 3 - Off the pace.
Fernandes - 5 - Did nothing specifically wrong but had little effect on the game.
Danns - 4 - Wasn't allowed any room to work. Easily kept quiet.
Nugent - 5 - Rusty, should have scored. Wasted out wide late on.
Schlupp - 4 - Played some good balls, but the occasion clearly got the better of him.
Subs:
King - 5 - Sharper than last week, scared Federici into action early in the second half.
Waghorn - 2 - Usual. Headless chicken act, took some crap corners, same old rubbish.
Gallagher - Is there any point bringing him on so late?
I actually don't think we were that bad, probably the better team but they took their chances. If Nugent's chance that hit the post had gone in while we were well on top we could have been looking at a resounding victory. It was that sort of game. Regardless we were making far too many individual errors, Yuki Abe was the main culprit and was rightly subbed at half time, I also hope he gets dropped for the next game as I have always felt he is a bit over rated amongst our fans. Mills also had a bad game today but other than that I thought we played okay. Schmeichel, Bamba and Fernandes all looked great, and everyone else other than Mills and Abe I felt played okay but it was just one of those odd games. We did look a bit toothless upfront even during the spells where we were well on top, again still crying out for an out and out goalscorer.
I special word for Schlupp who I thought did well, looked dangerous when taking people on but perhaps lacks that 'final product' in the final pass or shot at the moment against this sort of opposition.
I'm not one to start telling the manager how to do his job but I think Mills needs to be shown that his pricetag does not mean he's undroppable, because he's started like a ****ing train wreck. I'd like to see St. Ledger in for him on Wednesday night.

To stop talking negatively for a second. Schmeichel is definitely the player I've been most impressed with so far, in both pre-season and at the start of the season.
With about 5 or 6 minutes to go of the first half there was a break in play for an injury or something and Schmeichel went round his entire defence and almost the entire team in fact and started talking to them and pointing out what I assume were "helpful hints" about positioning etc. We noticeably improved in those final 5 mins or so, after he did that. Great to see someone organising the side like that.
I haven't criticised him for all three games David.
For the British the use of "criticize" is unfashionable, archaic and obsolete. For some reason I feel more comfortable with "criticize".
