I think it was important to get through the group because we were not sure what situation we'd be in by Feb. On the whole, I thought we played too strong line ups through the group stage, but that is a minor gripe.

Once we get to Feb, it's both obvious that our priority has to be finishing top four and that our injuries/fixture list mean winning the EL is impossible without sacrificing our PL form. As a result, both games against Prague should have seen us make wholesale changes.

All you have to do is look at Man Utd's fixture list for March to see that it is a relief to be out.
