Conceded 8 goals in two games then. Didn't see that coming.

Wheels are off, let's see how fast Tunchev recovers from injury now.

Way too early to say the wheels have fallen off after 2 games

Wellens was doing a 3 man job in the middle and he struggled because of it.

Oakley has officially become our worst player (or he was always just league 1 standard).

King was AWFUL, i mean it. Iv stuck up for him in the past but this is were i draw the line. EVERY time he got the ball he was muscled out of it or pressured into a poor pass. Against the giant EVANDER SNO it was never going to happen.

We have got strikers that can score goals, but its useless expecting this with the service there getting.

Wellens was just shit and has been for about a month now, you can't make excuses for him because he was good earlier in the season. Some/all of his passes were atrocious and he wasn't winning the ball at all anymore.

We can't afford to lose at the weekend in my opinion, if we do then I could see us getting pulled into a relegation battle, I honestly can't believe how unthreatening we looked tonight, pathetic to hear "fans" booing at the end and hardly anyone applaud the team off.

I didn't boo at the end - but I can perfectly well understand anybody that did. I didn't applaud either - but then there was nothing to applaud, was there? You might want to note that in his 'apology speech' on Saturday, Wayne Brown said how hurt the players were to see the fans leaving the City ground before the end of the game and that it helped them realise how upset they were and made them resolve to put more effort in. In that case I see no harm in a good round of booing; it will presumably make the players into superstars.

Having gone to the Walkers last night, thinking that the players were going to put in that extra effort, I have got to say that I saw none of that. It was an utter shambles and not at any time did I see any sort of organisation in the team. Under-11 football was what was on show with players just kicking the ball in the direction they were facing. Confidence level was zero; if a player was challenged, he simply got rid of the ball - it didn't seem to matter that he was playing a colleague into even greater trouble - it was enough that he had got rid of the ball.

And now with the whole of the middle of the table covered by a very few points, we start looking at the clubs behind us and worrying how long it will be before they overtake us.

It's going to be a long winter.

Ninety odd minutes of gutless, clueless, incompetent dross

The only player who looked anywhere near Championship standard was Waghorn. The rest of them were an utter disgrace - as bad as anything we have seen under Holloway, and close to the ineptitude witnessed in the last ten games under Levein

Brown and Oakley were simply appalling, and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the first team on Saturday. The continued selection of Oakley on the right hand side is starting to make me question Pearson in a big way. Anyone who cannot see the damage it does to the team is an idiot

The main shocker, though, is overall style of play being adopted. It seems to be one of total fear. Nobody wants the ball, and nobody seems to have the confidence to select one of their own players to pass the ball to who is actually in an appropriate position to receive the ball. It's panic stations all round, and the constant concession of possession to the opposition is simply baffling

The defence is all over the feckin' place, seriously clueless, and the midfield is destroying any chance we have of competing in the game. The poor feckers up front don't stand an earthly.

Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful in every single way

Seems to have a whiff of the relegation season about it.

I have always thought that Pearson's team selection was very wide of the mark, mentioning it on here when we were top 3 was out of the question (Did not fancy getting verbally abused)

The midfield is a disgrace (Again) Pearson has a horrible need to play Oakley at all times regardless whether there is a place for him in his natural position, it is losing us games and I said it would.

The balance is awfull.

Right.

We just got hammered at Forest 5-1 and had we scored first last night then I reckon we would have won it easily. Confidence is fragile, so NP needs to freshen things.

We must not allow the start to affect where we need to be this season for it to be a success IMO, and that is one place above the relegation places.

On recent showings, it shouldn't take us too long to achieve that.

Look at our record in November....1 point from 4 games including the loss to the Jack Bastards. Frigging suicide watch.
Then last two games we beat Preston (who most of you seem to rate), and then West Brom away for the first time in 52 years. Up to third and closed the gap on the automatic places.
Good times are just around the corner (but please delay your revival till after the 19th).

Fans really are fickle, according to some we have gone from possible automatic promotion contenders and definitie play off contenders to possibly struggling to stay in the league in just over a month. I know the last two results have been disappointing but lets get some perspective.

Agreed, people always over react after a good spell turns bad, me however, I was not 100% happy during to good spell, it was obvious me we were being lucky in certain games.

The problem is that people got over excited when we were 3rd, not that they are pissed off after watching truely awfull stuff that has been served up recently.

Finding our feet I would say.

But it isn't just results, it is the manner of the performances

Only the genuine blue mongies believe that we should go through the season without losing to a fair few teams in this league, given where we have come from, but the last two games (throw in Reading as well) have demonstrated a significant number of fundamental problems that we now face goiong into the new year - and I hardly think it unfair to point them out after witnessing the utter garbage that has been presented over the past two games in particular

Completely agree

I get fed up of repeating the above, so i'm glad you beat me to it this time around.

Fickle, deluded boneheads.

There is nothing wrong with pointing out fundamental problems. I think the fact that if teams stop Wellens from playing the rest of the team results to hoof ball is very concerning.

I just think some on here go from one extreme to the other at a drop of a hat. If we win 1-0 on Saturday people will say we have turned the corner and are now back on track. If we lose they will be suggesting NP is on borrowed time.

I don't think ( apart from the QPR game ) that we have played particularly well this season and that results have been rather kind to us and that our league position was rather false. I think this run was sparked by the last kick of the game equaliser at Scunthorpe which knocked the stuffing out of us. I expect ( as I did at the start of the season ) a mixed bag of results and a mid-table finish.

I said 10th at the start of the season and i feel we are on course for that. However its not the defeats i find hard to take, its the manner of them .

I think Nige will make some big changes next game, and we'll get a win.

We were always going to suffer a blip at somepoint, hopefully it just doesn't last any longer.

Maybe it will prove useful in the long run, by making it abundantly clear that we DO need strengthening in January, and where we need those players.
