I still can't forgive the negative approach at home to Fulham though.
I know what you're saying; it seemed - and indeed LOOKED - negative. It certainly did to me.

I dunno, maybe (that word again) Rodgers thought it was otherwise. Somebody here even remarked the lineup could be said to smack of arrogance. I personally am not sure of the wisdom of the lack of pukka wingers - praps Rodgers though wingbacks were enough. I dunno.

Whatever the reasoning, I know the end result was one of travesty. One in which the players carry a significant portion of culpability; tactics and shape alone didn't **** that up. It IS alarming that this has happened before, and one has to question Rodgers because of that (the ****er can seem wilfully ****ing stubborn and unable to admit error!) but I think that's something the club can address without recourse to P45s.

Will you stop being so reasonable and level headed

Remember the Mickey Adam’s days? Brian Deane and Scowcroft with Muz whipping them in.

I think Kisnorbo and Macaulay were the last CBs to contribute with goals regularly.

It’s been that long.

only decent taker I can think of since Muzzy would have been Gally and he wasn't that great at them either

Morgan and Huth were always a threat. Huth at Tottenham and The Etihad, and Wes at Old Trafford and home to Southampton spring to mind.

It’s Vardy who should be, and probably is, most pissed off with our farcical corners. How many times does he work his bollocks off to get a corner, because he’s so isolated there’s no ****er to cross or pass the ball too after he’s made an intelligent run to get possession? Even chasing the game at 2-0 down we had Maddison and Ihenacho pissing about around the halfway line for the last 20 mins in this game.

The worst of the lot was the one at the end when Schmeichel had come up for it and the corner barely made it to the penalty area.

I laughed at that. It was just one of 4 or 5 shambolic episodes from us during the game.

Stunned that Fulham didn't score from that. No excuse for trying to slip someone else in when there's no 'keeper and you're in the opposition half.

You can only assume we don't really practice either defending or attacking corners as both records are abysmal.

Someone always used to bang on (probably BN) about Stowell being in charge of them and he has consistently been here throughout our 'shit at corners' era so maybe something in it??

Johnny Evans always seemed to have a reasonable record from set pieces before he played for us but never looks a threat like everyone else.

I just don't understand why Maddison seems to own set pieces? From the little I've seen, both Under and Thomas looks better at crossing a ball!

With Madison, I don't get how his free kicks (when on goal) can be so good yet his corners are invariably woeful. It's just kickin' a ball innit?

Are his free kicks that good tho?

It was never gonna be another Yeovil. Who took the corner that night?

If he's having a pop at goal then, yes, he's capable. We've seen him score a few too.

BUT as for his other free kicks and corners, well, let's just say that they need some work. That's why I'm baffled. Why is he consistently carp with what you'd think are straight forward deliveries (how hard can it be to put a decent corner into the box?) when we've seen him take score with clever free kicks. Maybe it's the law of averages?
