I can't agree with you there Melts, I think his goals have papered over a good number of short comings in his game. He frustrates the life out of me. If we had someone upfront yesterday with a bit a pace or a better footballing brain, or preferably both, we would've battered Hartlepool. I thought they were poor, very poor. I even started to think we would be better off with putting Dyer up front if we've got someone who can fill in at left mid. IMO he's our best attacking player by some distance!

What concerns me about our recent performances is we're allowing teams lots more opportunities in front of goal. MK Dons, Stockport and Tranmere barely had a sniff, but we let Orient have 13 efforts on goal last week, and Hartlepool had 16 yesterday.
What happens when we play a team who will take some of their chances?

It must be just me, but I thought we were not very convincing at all 
Yes we had a few chances, but most were straight at the keeper. We did not keep the ball very well, got hassled off the ball too much and did not close them down quick enough. If it wasn't for their awful finishing we would have lost that game.
Dyer had a great game MOM by a mile.
Yes a win is a win, but we were well short of convincing.

The awful finishing could cost us later on in this league, we need the likes of Dickov, DJ back as well as Ashley Chambers, they might not be brilliant but i am sure they could score some of these chances gifted to Fryatt and Howard, we have different types of forward and it could help us sink teams like hartlepool
