The irony that we are above Hull on goal difference after those bitter 'Pearson is a 1-0 specialist' comments is beautiful.

:icon_razz Especially a +18 goal difference over them

This place must have been brilliant during our relegation season seeing as a win to slot us into second spot has turned a load of you into sweary keyboard warriors. Maybe some of you need to give up the internet and find another hobby.

Yeah, they were great days. We spent most of that season cyber-hugging and holding hands singing Kumbaya My Lord and We Shall Overcome. Sweet camaraderie in the face of adversity.

There's an irony in that the ones pretending to be hardmen throwing insults around are also the ones that like to point out that apparently people aren't joining the forum and that people aren't posting as much as before.

I don't like Beagrie and think he genuinely has a bias towards any team north of Sheffield but last night he was very positive towards us. The commentators, however, less so.

Don Goodman has been full of praise on a few of our games?

We shouldn't give a flying toss what these people think, mind.

But some of us handle it a bit better. It's like alcohol; I drink too much but I'm a lovely, huggy drunk and not a ****y giraffe.

Too much booze I become lovely and huggy too. Most people don't like it thought.

Either I'm over affectionate or they don't like the smell of my soiled underwear.

Most people have probably seen the goals by now, but we're one of the featured games on TFLS, which has just started with Derby/Forest.

Saying "Middlesbrough are playing well" whilst they are playing well isn't the same as saying "I hate Leicester".

If we did something good but didn't score boro got the praise for good defending, if they did something good they got the praise for good attacking. The number of times they complimented their defending was unreal, considering their keeper up to that point had made about 4 saves, we'd hit the bar/post 3/4 times and had a good goal ruled out for offside.

I was speaking to some boro fans on their forum, and even they said they couldn't understand why they were getting so much attention from the commentary team.

The post of yours that I was commenting on made no distinction at all as regards to age so your point above is irrelevant and unnecessarily argumentative. But I suspect you already know that :icon_wink

Your post is absurd.

I stated in post 101 in this thread the following:

"Present company excepted - peope are very soft these days. Any able person under say 50 could have got to the ground if they chose providing they lived within a 5 miles radius. Instead of course they chose to watch it in the warm on Sky - and we need to factor in that these days more supporters live further afield in the county or further afield still."

That meant that any able person under say 50 could have got to the ground if they chose providing they lived within a 5 miles radius.

Would you like me to clarify that further?

I live within 5 miles, but I was at work and my ticket was at home on the other side of town. So in reality it's more like a 15 mile journey going backwards and forward, and I'm sure many were in that boat.

Took me 4 hours to get home from syston after work and I left at about 3.15 thinking it would give me enough time.

Why is everyone so angry on here at the moment? Its really taking the fun away from the site.

Especially after a week or so of good debates on the site regarding good/bad LCFC moments. Nobody likes to back down though, so the only haven at times is the safe house.

Yeah, well done Miles Away for starting those off. The bits where people are bickering I just gloss over...........so that's about 50% of the posts on here at the moment.

Surely what's good for the club is good for the fans?

There are always going to be exceptions to this statement as there are to the equally valid "what's good for the fans is good for the club". The lifeblood of the club is the little kiddie being taken to a match by his dad (and nowadays often by his mum).

I realise that this is not true for everyone but for me there is no point in being a supporter if you don't go to matches.

Back to the football. Having finally got to see some of the match on the Football League show Knockaert was very unlucky. My first thought when his shot bounced near the goal line was that it was in. The replay showed it was out. All credit to the referee who saw it in real time and got the decision right.

Or didn't see it properly and took the right decision to not give a goal. In those circumstances that would have been the right decision even if it was in.

It amazes me. Your ground staff clearly did a fantastic job in freezing conditions to make it possible for the game to go ahead. Our game has already been re-arranged, and there is a good chance of further fixture congestion if you have a cup replay. Add to that the prospect of further bad weather affecting the schedule, and you have yourself a fixture log jam. Is that really what a promotion chasing team needs? I think not.Our lot now have a fortnight off in the warmth of Dubai, while yours will be freezing their conkers in the cup.And you won ffs.Now then, how were the Bovril stocks?

There were loads of pies in the Kop but I saw at least 10 people with pie and pint vouchers turned away because they were too late to claim them, I bet city threw quite a few pies away after the match.

Perhaps they sold the unused pies on to the Tigers as they have a big game today I seem to remember which they don't want To louse
