We're trying to play some decent football and make things happen but the fitness and confidence just isn't there. The only way to get these things is by grinding out results like the one today on a consistent basis.
Weale worries me, almost as much as Logan. He's not been the same player since the Derby mistake and, if he's not tough enough to get over it, he's never going to be a quality keeper. We need a new keeper to inspire a bit of confidence.
Defensively, Naughton, Vitor, Hobbs, Cunningham and Davies are all quality defenders at this level. What they need is to settle down into a regular group. Berner and Morrison are miles away from the players they were last season and, like Weale, if they can't sort themselves out, they have no future here.
In midfield, Wellens, King, Abe and Dyer are solid enough. The rest are not. None of the forwards have impressed this season. As predicted, as soon as Fryatt got his new contract, he's been shite. Waghorn is young and going through the inconsistent second season. I'm sure he'll come good, but he's not playing well now. We're desperately in need of a player who can play wide right midfield or attack and make an impact with pace and finishing ability.
I have a lot of faith in Sven and think he'll do the business. The most important part of this 'project' of his is to get things going before January so that decent players want to join us.
All five matches in November are winnable. We need maximum points in at least three of them.
finally someone who talk sense ,bravo , i feel abe will be a jem in a few weeks
