Kante could shoot for toffee either.

It's been a while since we've had the Kante/Ndi'di comparison so I thought it was due.
Couldn't, perhaps? Kante scored against us though, didn't he? He had the grace to look a bit embarrassed by the ease at which his shot beat Kasper though - he clearly wasn't expecting it to go in !

Btw, it'll be Ndid'i tomorrow. It's a trait of the language his name is from; the spelling - or more precisely, the positioning of the apostrophe - depends on the day of the week. Like that Cure song Friday I'm In Love, on Friday it'll be 'Ndidi. It's N'didi on Saturday, except to those who can't spell, and so forth. It's silent on Sunday, Ndidi.

Ndidi hasn't been mentioned much in this thread. I thought he was crap on Saturday and his shooting has become laughable.
He was. He’s been a bit hit and miss all season to be fair.

Wow I love learning about other languages

I thought Wilfred was alright, he never offers much going forward, and Stoke didn't attack much so he had little to do. Perhaps he should have kept a closer eye on Shaquiri for their goal, but there were at least a few players to blame for that.

It is n'deed fascinating is'nt it?

It actually depends on the day of the week young Wilfred was born on. Useful really. You can tell what day someone was born on by the spelling of the name. I'm a Thursday's child, b'loo.

Thanks for clearing that up - I had previously thought the position of the peripatetic apostrophe was related to the phases of the moon.

The amount of misplaced passes he made was bordering on the ridiculous.

The bigger problem (for which patience on all sides is needed) is that first with Ranieri (ended badly) and now Puel, we're moving to a system where we keep possession and build from there , which is helped no end by NOT GIVING THE FRIGGIN' BALL AWAY CHEAPLY IN OUR OWN HALF. I remain a big Matty James fan, not least because he's taking one for the team in the role he is clearly being asked to play (presumably by the manager) to act as "minder" for those around him who keep doing this (i.e. just about everyone except Dragovic IMO). He usually does it quite well but being adrift from the errors (Simpson then Ndidi) left him in no man's land between Allen and Shakira in trying to stop the disaster which resulted.

I'm sure they will improve.... eventually.

It's Tuesday and you have completely neglected to insert the apostrophe. Shambles man.

I agree with you, he is. But his last couple of games for us were shockingly poor and he was right to be dropped.

Hopefully that was just down to the quantity of games he played in a short period of time.

Matty James reminds me of Andy King somewhat. Doesn’t do much wrong but also doesn’t do much right.

I’d give Iborra another go on Saturday personally.
Silva links up well with our attackers because he can pass a football accurately! what he does do that Jamesdoes not is drive the ball forward, perhaps the manager is asking James to stay put however, surely that is what Ndidi is for?
I agree Iborra is due a start I personally think we suit 3-5-2 far more now given our midfielders, the players appear to be low on confidence, Bournemouth will be a real test.

every one seems to be talking about players, i do agree but my problem is beginning to look a this manager he seems to me to want to use this short pssing game thats great if you have the players that can past it to the strikers but i dont think we have the players to complete that .im beginning to understand southhamton for getting rid.to me he plays the short passes to square.and thats defensive, hes well known for that.have got the right manager NOT SHORE.

On the beach....
