Stoke fans have **** all to be happy about, we're moaning about how shit we were yet we sit in the top 10. Them poor buggers were as bad and are in real danger of the drop...

Think I'd agree with PFKAKTF FOX in terms of the players that should be starting. I'm generally an advocate of 4-4-2 and think we should stick with that. Thing is I kind of like Mahrez in midfield because hes got great ability to drive the ball from midfield into attack. Most of the top possession based sides play through the middle of the park but we are always trying to play it out wide in triangles. Sure we have 60-70% average possession these days but we rarely do anything worth while with it. Yesterday we bossed possession in the first half, created and naff all, and at the first sign of any danger posed by Stoke - conceded.

Please can we also start trying our corners outswinging, away from the goalkeeper and mix it up a bit. Anyone who is any good at FIFA or indeed has watched Leicester City attacking corners knows inswinging corners are shit.:D

The fans were quite because the football we played was desperately, hopelessly dull.

Some might argue that it's their job to 'get them going' or some such rubbish, but when they are served a complete load of dreary clueless boring shite, why the hell should they ?

And there was plenty of moaning and angry shouting going on in the kop, although to be fair that was mainly from me

I was bored before I became angry.

I've been bored by us before but rarely angry. Not that kind of anger anyway. I get spontaneously angry at one off stuff; chances missed, goals conceded, refereeing decisions etc. But this was different. This was soul anger at the way we were playing.

I'm coming around to the thinking that suggests that we're morphing into any other team that 'tries to play football' (like there is only one way) I'm close to agreeing that we've sold out.

We are so much better than Stoke. We ought have won that with some ease. What we did yesterday was little short of a disgrace.

I'm still bored.

It will be at least Tuesday afternoon before it dissipates I would imagine.

#shoutingoutwithHomer perhaps?

Surely neutrals just can't bear to watch televised Leicester games. Just imagine what we will be like once Mahrez has moved on. Major remedial work needed this summer. Has Puel got the judgement to recruit and select. I doubt it given his record to date

Truly awful performance, lacked intensity, quality and any cohesion. Have to say I feared the worst as soon as I saw the team sheet. I have no issue with playing a possession based game, however if that is how we are going to play, then for crying out load please make sure you include Iborra and Silva in the team.

The team selection really did beggar belief, Morgan straight back in despite the good performances of Dragovic, Amartey has been discarded despite a decent run of games at right back, James is too slow and cumbersome to be effective as a regular starter at premier league level, the continued selection of Chilwell and Gray despite brainless performances week in and week out.

This is the team I would like to see for the next few weeks -

Schmichael

Albrighton
Dragovic
Maguire
Fuchs

Iborra
Ndidi

Mahrez
Silva
Diabate

Vardy
Basicly agree, but I would prefer Simpson to Albrighton, and it would be good to see Diabate given a few games, with good back up if he can't handle it.

My word. We don’t do middle of the road do we.

Puel is implementing a style we knew he would. He needs to get more attacking, but I wonder if that is coming. I certainly he deserves more than the January transfer window to decide he’s crap at recruiting.

I count myself in this - but my word, aren’t our fans fickle.

The players are lacking bravery on the ball and it is taking too long to get to Mahrez, I agree that the non selection of Silva is baffling however, we will improve and with Man City winning on the weekend its all up for grabs and all to play for, Watford did us a favour TBH.

Im struggling with so many people describing the non-selection of Silva as baffling. He has been anonymous at best and appalling at worst in each of his appearances albeit that they have been few and far between. If he is replicating in training what he has shown so far on the pitch then I think Puel is absolutely right to keep him on the bench. The guy needs time to get fit and should be playing with the development squad whenever he can. I think he will come good from what I know of him and have seen elsewhere but it'll take time. The problem is that Iborra isn't the answer either. He really isn't any more creative, dynamic or exciting to watch than James so it's a much of a muchness between them. Rushing Silva into the team when he is, from all evidence, nowhere near ready would be detrimental to him and in the long run, us.

Unsurprisingly I disagree completely.

Iborra is immensely more creative and exciting to watch than james.

He's twice the player.

I agree with you, he is. But his last couple of games for us were shockingly poor and he was right to be dropped.

Hopefully that was just down to the quantity of games he played in a short period of time.

Matty James reminds me of Andy King somewhat. Doesn’t do much wrong but also doesn’t do much right.

I’d give Iborra another go on Saturday personally.

People are questioning James' inclusion (quite rightly) as I agree he offers little defensively or attacking wise. But I'm more annoyed with players like Gray, Mahrez and Albrighton. Those are the players who should be creating chances and I would say failed against Stoke. Albrightons crosses where poor from open play and Mahrez had all the time in world and created little. But a special mention to Gray, who has not improved in two seasons now and doesn't look capable of doing so. There was talk about him replacing Mahrez by a lot of fans on here. Absolutely no chance will he be good enough.

I'd be quite happy to sell Gray.

His miserable face and nonchalant attitude is immensely irritating.

The top players all have skills, but they also have incredible drive and workrate.

Ndidi hasn't been mentioned much in this thread. I thought he was crap on Saturday and his shooting has become laughable.

Kante couldn't shoot for toffee either.

It's been a while since we've had the Kante/Ndi'di comparison so I thought it was due.
