I couldn't give a **** if people want to leave early, but if it impacts on my view i'm going to be pissed off.

I never understand why some drivers absolutely hate traffic, especially enough to leave an expensive game early (football isnt cheap now days). If the traffic is stopped then just chillout in driver seat :)

For the last ten minutes we had a stream of people coming down the steps and stopping at the barrier for 20 seconds to keep watching, this meant we had to stand up and there were kids behind us so we impacted on their viewing as well. If you're gonna go early just go, don't loiter.

It's down to the stewards. The ones at the exit near us were excellent at immediately moving the loiterers on so there were no obstructions. It's a safety issue above all else.

How dare people leave the game when they want to

They should all be killed immediately, and their heads stuck on spikes in the concourse as a deterrent to any more who may be tempted to make their own decisions in life, rather than listen and obey a bunch of random twats who wish to impose their own little rules and regulations on the whole world

Never known you to over-react Homey. Most out of character :icon_bigg

Does your location refer to the West End of Leicester or London.

If the latter it might explain your comments. If the former there is no defence whatsoever for what you are saying.

erm.... the west end of Leicester, not heard of it?

Would it not annoy you if those people leaving before the end of the film walked in front of the screen and made you miss something important?

I dont really care about someone blocking my view for 2 seconds. Im moaning because I cant understand it. No amount of arguing will make me understand unless the said person is old or disabled and cannot walk amongst large crowds of people easily.

As for all the others, well, they get home between 15-20 minutes early and miss Waggers thunderbolt. Its a closed argument as far as I can see.

:018:
The first bit yes, the second, NOTHING would be acceptable about that unless it was as an awayer.(Or a concert-goer)

:081: Fair point.

I find it hard to dislike Coventry, mainly because part of me feels sorry for them for being such a dismal, unattractive side.

If I woke up tomorrow and I was a Coventry season ticket holder I'd probally pour bleach over my face.

i was working in Cov last friday, and was speaking to someone who said he was a life long supporter. During the conversation he said he worked as a steward at the ground and then actually admitted that he would never pay to go and watch them.

A trivial question for my trivial mind. I think the first half went on well over the minimum time put up by the 4th official. It seemed to me that there was hardly any time left when we won a corner. By the time we took the corner I felt we were over time. We then won another corner. It was onlt when the ball went out of play for a Bristol goal kick that the referee blew for half time.

I am aware that the time held up is a minimum added on. I had taken it that time would be added on for injury, time-wasting etc.

My question is this. Does FIFA expect referees to blow whever time is up whatever the situation on the pitch or are they expected to wait until the ball is in a non-dangerous situation.?

A similar point was made at the end of the 5 live commentary of the Man City v Notts County game earlier.

They didn't know the answer either.

I have somewhere in my memory - possibly under some other stuff in a drawer that doesn't open - a vague recollection of a referee awarding a penalty, then blowing the final whistle between the kick being taken and the ball crossing the goal line. Could anyone help me out here? Either point me towards the game or convince me it never happened.

I don't believe it is allowed to happen but I have no evidence of this. It's gone midnight and I can't be arsed to look.

Boc will be along in a bit though.

No, I am pretty sure that penalties should go ahead even if time is up. Maybe it's been different in the past.

There was once a corner, brazil I think it was, that got whipped into the box and headed straight in but the ref blew up the instant the corner was taken so the goal didn't count. Pretty outrageous referreeing.

Can't remember a penalty though....that would be awful.

Law 7 - the one that deals with duration of play - states that "If a penalty kick has to be taken or retaken, the duration of either half is extended until the penalty kick is completed". A penalty kick is not completed until the ball stops moving from the momentum provided at least in part by the penalty kick.

So it certainly should not have happened; that doesn't mean to say it didn't.
