Note to Mattmeister:

Surely its a free country and people can decide when they want to leave...... tosser

But it's still irritating when you have to stand up to let them get past you and so it forces you to miss the game. Being only dinky I can't see over the heads of people stood right in front of me or on the row in front.

The guy walking past me stopped in front to shout back down the row to his friend who was still gathering up his belongings.

These people turned up 10 mins in to the game, as did many of the people around as apparantly there were major queues at the caravan to collect tickets, and people were getting angry as the game had already started.

I'd imagine it's because a lot of people want to try and miss the enivtable traffic queues that follow the match. Don't see what's wrong with that myself...

Nothing, people can leave when they want, so long as they don't disturb other people. Surely you understand that.

Why bother going then if your life is disrupted by sitting in traffic for an extra 5 mins?

Do these same people get to the ground an hour early so as to miss the traffic in?

I take it you missed the winner then?

Maybe 'tossers' is a bit strong, but I just don't understand why people do this especially right on the announcement of 5 minutes added time when plenty could happen.

nope I saw it........

...... on the TV. Then I went to the pub before the rush:icon_cool

Have you driven on Narb road? its more than just 5 minutes my friend

Why bother going at all? Why bother shelling out 20, 30, 40 quid to go to a game and the leave early just so you can miss a bit of traffic? Where has anyone really got to be so urgently on a Friday night at 10:00pm (or Saturday at 5:00pm for that matter).

If you've gotta be somewhere else then don't bother coming to the game. I'd never dream of leaving a game early, especially when it's still in the balance just to miss a bit of congestion on the roads. Traffic's just an inevitable problem when 30,000 people all leave the same place at once. It's a very small price to pay. Has anyone in the history of the planet ever thought: "oh I missed the cracking finale to the game and that SUPERB goal, but at least I didn't get stuck in a bit of traffic and got home on time."?

No one would leave the cinema early and miss the end of a film.....that's just STUPID.

Well said. I would never leave a game early, it just seems bizarre to me... I'd never drive either, I live about a 35 minute walk away from the stadium - it's much easier, quicker and healthier to just walk it down. I understand not everyone has that luxury though.

I just always think of their faces when they hear the cheer after they've left the ground.

Sorry to disappoint you there David, but the actor doesn't actually drown. He just pretends to. Hope this fact doesn't ruin your day

The character doesn't drown anyway, he dies from hypothermia. He's clearly had his head above water the entire time.

Imagine if you had left the City 3-3 Arsenal game at Filbert St early...

Never understood it in a million years. I pay good money to see the full game, missing anything would be idiotic. We park in a part of the city that doesnt get overrun with traffic and then walk to the ground, takes 15 minutes but at least I've never missed a goal.

Or just park a little further away - by the time you get back to your car most of the traffic has eased. I park just off Saffron Lane near the leisure centre. Got back to my house in Narborough by 22:20 no problem having used both Soar Valley Way and Narborough Road.

Reminds me of when City played Brentford in a cup game many years ago.
We were losing 2 - 0 with 10 to go.
Went to my sis' house next day, her old man said, City are crap aren't they.
Asking who told him that, & why. Turns out a friend went and left with 10 to go.
City had actually gone on to win 4 -2.

Chris Kamara scored Brentford's second goal that night - he's never forgiven us for the fight-back.

A good result on the whole, 3 points ,,great ,,ive seen every game since our winning run began and all have been a lot better, but my big worry is Ricardo, i dont feel that our defence, shows a lot of trust in him either, they had a spell where they just wanted to hoof the ball up the field last night, and i put that down to no faith in Ricardo ,to many blunders for me .

Not true fans though are they. I mean, not really..........
