Yeah and....

You are aware you are making no sense at the minute aren't you?

You said we were shit last night, but then said if we played the same as we did second half all game we would win most games? Which is it?

You are very reactionary at the moment, the same as my grandad. After Derby he said it was the worst game he had ever seen and we were "shit". He must have a very short memory, and so much you if you consider last night "shit".

He's not wrong, because we were

And we were just as bad, if not worse, in the first half last night. It was truly shocking

If you don't think that then you should spend more time with your granddad and get him to teach you a few things

Maybe I have a different idea of how poor a "shit" performance is. For me it would mean there is no lower level to stoop to.

Some people seem to have put the past Championship campaign to the back of their minds.

Or maybe they are struggling to understand why we are not performing at the same level we did last season.

I don't know though, Im fairly stupid.

No - You're not stupid - You are spot on. It is, I'm afraid, the disease of the Leicester Fan. I keep harping on about it and I will, no doubt, get a thousand nonsensical responses to the contrary, but I genuinely believe that this club harbours some of the most destructive fans in the League. We won 2-0 last night and from the look of this thread anyone would think that we had been on the receiving end of a 5-0 drubbing. It isn't any wonder that Campbell and the likes have said what they have in the past. Who would want to play for Leicester City when the 'fans' act the way they do sometimes? It is the most counterproductive practice and one which, I am absolutely sure, has had huge negative effects on our club during its history. We are 3 points from the top of this league and I know that every single 'fan' would have taken that position had it been offered to them before the beginning of this season. Yet still the negativity remains. As I say, I know I shall now read a barrage of rubbish or attempted justifications for this behaviour but I shall never be swayed on this until the fans of this club start acting as fans of any club should. I'm not saying we have no right to criticise - we spend enough money to have the right to do so. There is however, a world of difference between sensible, logical, justifiable critique, and sheer bloody-minded negativity for the sake of it. We won - just enjoy it for God's sake!

I have no doubt that Pearson will stay as Boro offer nothing more than we do other than a link to his past, however, having read with some amazement, criticism of his management on this board, indeed, in this very thread, could anyone blame him? I for one wouldn't. Perhaps if it does happen - it should herein be known as the 'Leicester-Megson Syndrome'. He came here, got absolutely jumped on by all of the fans after about a week (and continuously through his tenure) and so jumped ship when the opportunity arose. He's not doing too badly is he.

Excellent post, except for the last paragraph. I think Pearson has had the fans on his side since the beginning, and rightly so. Some have critised his decisions at times but that is good and I'm sure he would agree.

Have to agree with poppy. We do have some of the most miserable negative fans in the land, especially noticable at home games. That's why I prefer away games to be honest, at least the fans that go in the main go to support their team.

I don't think it's fair to say that Megson was, in effect, hounded out by the fans. At the end of the day, a Prem club came in for him and offered him the chance to manage at the highest level, more money and better players, he had only been at our club for a short time and had no real emotional attachment, he would've been a fool not to take the job.

I certainly think most fans on here think Pearson is the best manager we have had since MON.

The only real criticisms have been on a couple of choices of players. Like how about starting with something different to Howard/Fryatt, or why doesn't he play a proper right winger?

However we do not see the players train, and I certainly do not have the opposition knowledge to know that for a certain game Neilsen might be a better choice than Morrison.

So I think Pearson is doing a brilliant job and I hope he carries on doing so. As a paying season ticket holder though, I reserve the right of all fans to know who our best team is that he should play!

I am much of this opinion. In the second half, our possesion was wasted on continuous occasions. I want to be entertained, I want to watch decent football (and we were playing at the start of the season hence the moan). I don't want to watch hoofball which still continued despite having Campbell and Waghorn up front. At least against Derby, we kept the ball pretty well.

In a day and age where success is going to lead to blocked avenues due to greed and money, I'd just rather watch us play well. I'd say as much I've enjoyed the two draws against Sheff U and Watford than I have the wins against Barnsley, Blackpool and Palace.

I was sat playing poker with Tony Capaldi (who was linked with joining yourselves not so long ago) a couple of weeks ago. When I asked him about Cardiff's chances this season he said "Whatever you do, dont wager any significant amount of money on any Championship game this season because they can all go either way. The league is going to be so tight and unpredictable, it will be the longest and potentialy the most exciting season I've ever known. Buckle up."
Now I have never rated him as a left back, but he is a good judge of sport, and no mean poker player either.

Did you go to the same game as me?

It was a good game. Palace were not shite. They were a pacy, well organised team, who must have gone in at half time wondering why they were not 2-0 up.

Well-organised, sure. Pacy - I can't see that. They had some right tubby feckers in their side.

Every time you criticise the team/manager in any way it makes Baby Jesus cry

Shame on you

I thought our second-half performance was very good, our midfield were getting stuck in and winning a lot of 50/50 balls,we created a lot of opportunites, and credit to D.J for being alert and making that one on one chance.

I think the only player who struggled besides Oakleys sloppy passing was Waghorn,he never really got the chance to shine as it rarely got played through the middle, also he was getting offside alot, intime though i think he will be quality.

This is not a moan, this in my opinion is constructive criticism:icon_wink

Sadly true. Although I would hope had he been here longer, I would have played my part in hounding him out.
