I was really happy to see Morrison and Vitor helping Abe out with instructions and in Morrisons case, putting an arm around him when he made a mistake. He did look pretty rough in the first ten minutes he was on the pitch but settled down. Won an impressive amount of headers for a short guy.

As for the performance, I felt I'd gone back about eight months but in a good way. Only rough patch was after we conceded and we started looking a bit edgy and obviously the leaking of goals recently had them low on confidence (also it looked to me like both Berner and Waghorn picked up knocks and Howard was knackered for the last 25 mins), but they rallied eventually. I have no idea how Howard missed that chance in the first half when the 'keeper missed the ball and Howard somehow managed to slide in at one post and hit it across the empty goal to hit the other post and go out.

Star players today... well I was really happy with nearly all the team (Ikeme worries me still) but I'd definitely pick out Wellens, King, Morrison, Hobbs, Berner & Vitor as our star players - and Howard before he ran out of puff.

Powell running to celebrate the third goal was pure class.

I found it rather humerous had poor Scunthorpe were. Reading put in a similar terrible performance but beat us earlier in the season. The amount of passes Scunthorpe put out of play or the amount of time their players simply fell over was amusing.

Struggling to think of a significant mistake he made :102:

He wasn't attacked today, so got lightly in that respect. Moments I remember which were mistakes; his chest up to head the ball directly at Scunthorpe player and that absolute balloon of a cross after Gally did ok. There was the time Wellens simply nodded a ball towards and he completely mid-read the pass out and out for a throw in.

If he continues to play right back, he'll have to learn positional sense more; he'll be caught by a proper winger.

As for Oakley, it's no surprise we have never been successful with him in a central role in this division.

Thought King had a poor game by his high standards but he looked genuinely tired...heavy touch. That said brilliant run to win a free kick in injury time.

I was very annoyed with Waghorn's dive in injury time rather than keeping the ball.

Beauty from Moussa. How a professional should shoot low, hard and accurate.

Great first half, shaky last 20,when we were firmly in control, was a tad worried when Abe replaced Gallagher,as he and Vitor had communication problems ,but to get 3 points was more vital than the performance.

Abe would be more suited to a midfield role,Vitor had a good game...looks a tough fecker and was not scared to mix it up a bit, could be a good signing in time.

As for some of the others Wellens had his best game in ages,Dyer was quiet besides his goal...should have switched sides with Gallagher.
Howard and Waghorn worked tirelessly.

Forgot to mention, had a chuckle when Waghorn started taking off his shirt when he scored only for King to force it back on.

Great until the last 20 minutes or so, when I really thought we'd concede. Don't know if it's just me, but our players looked jaded, and I wonder if the fitness levels are really where they should be?

I've been saying this all season. Berner, Fryatt and Dyer are the three players who don't seem to be anywhere near as fit this season as they were last.

Agreed. Those 3 more than others seemed to suffer most under Sousa in terms of fitness.

A big congratulations to Michael Morrison who had a great game today after a nightmare at Pompey, thought that Vitor had a steady game and the 4-4-2 was a far better system to play, Waggy should have scored at least 2 probably should have had a hat-trick, but he and Howard looked far happier in a front 2, lets look forward to better times and to Sven. BLUE ARMY

Bruno Berner on the radio after the game said as much...we wanted to play the second half like the first but our fitness levels were not there....i was amazed he came out with a comment like that.

Amazed? Why? He was just stating what we already knew. And maybe he wanted to show a criticism, albeit indirect, about Sousa.

I thought there were a few thinly veiled attacks on Sousa, from Berner and Stowell (with regards making training fun and the use of the 4-4-2), found it quite amusing.

I guess you never saw Junior Lewis or Lee Marshall or Michael Trotter or Ade Akinbiyi or Junior Lewis play...

No player in a Leicester City shirt compares with Spider Kalac

I have seen Grosics, Banks,Schmeichel and Seaman and can say Kalac was the most remarkable goalkeeper I have seen.

I have seen Shilton defy Keegan and Toshack and keep a clean sheet against Liverpool it seemed almost single handed and yet Kalac against Bolton was more memorable - "there stands Kalac with his head in his hands lets hope he doesn't drop it."

The only time I really 'felt' for Spider was when he was warming up in front of us at the Victoria Ground before our second leg play-off game against Stoke 'hooliganstonethrowingbastards' City. We all sung a round or two of 'Mark McGhee, what a wanker, what a wanker' and Spider applauded us.

I thought the spirit they showed today was just incredible. I actually think this could become one of the most memorable Leicester matches I've ever seen.

I felt that for about the first 30 minutes, they seemed very much in control, which was just such a pleasing thing to see after some of the dreadful first half (or both half) displays under Sousa. Chris Powell just seemed to be able to get something out of the players that we haven't really seen since last season.

As I was near the front in the Kop I didn't really see Waghorn's goal. However I thought both the one from Dyer, and of course the one from Moussa, were both absolutely fantastic. I think the image of Powell celebrating which the players on the pitch could stay with me for decades.
