Finally, in Matty James, we have someone who can take a decent corner. I thought he had an excellent game last night.

I feared for us when I saw the bench, last night. One defender, Moore, with little experience; no midfielder (is Wellens injured?) and three wingers.

If one of the midfield trio had picked up an early injury, everything would have had to change and, when we got to late in the game, we could bring no fresh legs into midfield or defence.

Why, after using two midfielders and two wingers for most of the season, does Pearson change now? I prefer three central midfield players but, we do not have the personnel.

Yes we do. Andy King, Matty James, Danny Drinkwater.

If we have three central midfield players we can play a midfield three.

Anyway....

I hear that it's rumoured (from indykaila News on Twit) that 'There was few heated words that got out of hands between manager Nigel Pearson and one of the foreign players last night'.

Pick your foreign player.

Andy King?

I have rarely been as irritated by a Leicester team as I have become with these players.

The eleven picked by Pearson yesterday are good players. The 4-3-3 tactic was nearly successful and the loss of two points at the end was not Nigel's fault. The idea of playing Schlupp up front would have worked but for Nugent's mistake.. Jeff looked dangerous up front when he got near the ball. However, that was not often enough as both Drinkwater and King were poor.

It seemed right to me to take Wood off as he was looking tired. However, I would have liked to have seen Moore brought on. According to The Fink Tank in which The Times runs all sorts of match data into a computer the most effective substitution is to bring a defender on for an attacker when you are winning.

There was a great deal of criticism of Harry Kane being brought on and he did nothing to prove his critics wrong. However, it was not Harry Kane or Nigel Pearson who cost us the win; it was a mistake by one of our most experienced players.

Slightly concerned that Pearson echoed what I said about consulting the assistant referee. It made me feel a bit dirty in all honesty.
