I missed the Norwich game completely last week so I finally got round to watching it last night.

Barnes should be nowhere near the side to play Man City. He was easily our worst player, despite some strong competition. Nobody played well but Barnes had so many opportunities to progress moves and just messed up every time.

The idiotic Maddison as second striker out of possession and dropping deeper in possession thing just isn't working at all either. Maddison has to be in possession a lot or it is a waste of time him playing. Albrighton was also total shite.

Iheanacho made a massive difference when he came on. He did miss a chance badly in injury time but it was so obvious that he needs to play. Two up front with Iheanacho alongside Vardy is a no-brainer.

Man City don't overlap much any more. They just overfill the space between their opponents defence and midfield. So a formation of 4-3-1-2 makes sense to me. Have Maddison in the free role but he can drop back into midfield too. If we want to be flash, we could also drop Ndidi into the defence if and when needed and Maddison can backfill.

I don't think Ricardo should be risked unless he's 100% and he can't be if his hamstring was tight.

Schemeichel
Castagne Amartey Soyuncu Bertrand
Soumare Ndidi Tielemans
Maddison
Iheanacho Vardy
So Barnes messing up and not having a good game in general means he needs to be dropped but Iheanacho messing up means he needs to play. Not sure I get your logic.

I don’t think players should be ‘punished’ if they have a bad game or two by being dropped. Fair enough if they’ve been shite for a fair few games but that’s not the case here.

let’s face it they are all good players with the ability to play well - it’s not like Iheanacho hadn’t kicked a ball for the week before he came on as a sub. You surely can’t blame him being out of practice for him missing a golden chance. He just fluffed it and could (and has on many occasions) just as easily have fluffed it after being on the pitch for most of the game.

Did you miss the “Iheanacho made a massive difference when he came on” bit?

Take steps to prevent spreading a highly contagious and potentially fatal virus by doing a free test that takes 30 seconds of effort?

Pft, why bother when you can just lie!?

Pretty much my point there.....seems a tad pointless when people can go if they really wanted to.

From recent media reports, it sounds like the players still need some convincing to get the vaccine. But that shouldn't be surprising given they're really not the brightest bulbs in the box.

They’ll be queuing up when a footballer dies from it.

Perhaps that’s his strength - coming on when others around are tired and he can have a real impact. He wouldn’t be the first would he?

I take your point but all I’m saying is that we shouldn’t judge and make decisions based on 2 or 3 match performances. There’s clearly loads of work going on behind the scenes every day as well as on match days that should be used to judge. Makes it difficult as fans I know!

At least madders is up for it.

I wonder who gave him a pearl necklace?

It does seem like ever since that handshake celebration thing and the post match interview he got loads of praise for around the same time that he’s disappeared even further up his own arse.

Disagree - think he's as bad as he's ever been. We were just more willing to tolerate it when he was performing on the pitch.

What's he done wrong though?

The clothes are hideous but it's not harming anyone.

He's started poor this season but he scored and assisted more than St Jack of Grealishshire last year.

And yet no one came in for him and JG went for £100,000,000 to improve the best team in the country. Weird.

How many games should we give a player? He's been poor three times in a row.

Surely the reason we have a squad of players is to cope with enforced absences and enable the manager to make changes because he thinks it's the right thing to do?

We've spent a lot of money this summer trying to build squad depth. We must learn to rotate and select for the specific match ahead rather than just pick what we perceive as our strongest side and stick with it.

At least, that's what the teams do that finish above us.

In the photo or as work these days? Wearing clothes appears to be the answer to both.
When we down at the community shield his photo was all over the underground advertising Boohoo
