It's then they realise they don't need the so called experts after all, as viewing figures increase.

Without the presenters there's nothing in the show you can't see about 5 hours earlier for free on internet. Must be some appeal?

Exactly. We watch MOTD not just to see the highlights, but also to listen to what the analysts/pundits say about our team. If we have won 5 0, we want to hear how great we are. If we have lost 5 0, we suffer in silence as they dissect our ineptitude. MOTD without analysis is a bit like sex without an orgasm. OK, we think that it is shit, but have we ever asked our partners because for sure, they will tell us.

In order to show solidarity with Gary Lineker, Everton have announced that they won't be appearing on MOTD from next season

Word on the street is that the BBC Director General is currently racing towards the Dover coast with three suits in his boot hoping to find some migrants who fancy a job starting tomorrow night at half ten.
Hopefully the useless **** diverts to beachy head

Players may boycott MOTD post-match interviews tomorrow

BBC Sport understands a number of players from various clubs have contacted the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) tonight saying they may want to show solidarity with Gary Lineker and Match of the Day pundits over the BBC impartiality row by boycotting the programme's post-match interviews tomorrow.
The PFA - which has been in talks with players and clubs on the matter - are believed to be supportive of any players who choose to do so.

It’s not the same since they started letting women and brown people on it anyway. Load of woke nonsense. I don’t need to have my tenuous masculinity threatened that late on a Saturday night thank you very much…

Really blowing up isn’t it?!
Brilliant isn’t it? Good to have something like this every few months, it’s like pushing a wagon through the streets and shouting ‘bring out your ****s!’

And you know who the first people to moan will be in the unlikely event that Match of the Day ends up being worth watching tomorrow.

We only know one side of the story. Maybe he was being disruptive and causing problems with the first team squad.

He seems to be a bit of a twat..

I think the BBC may have underestimated how much of a reaction dropping Lineker would have, and now are looking very dodgy. A storm now rages. No idea how it ends.
Many may feel that, on the contrary, just as no player is bigger than the club, no pundit is bigger than the show. At a time when focus in the game is being put on the number of minutes that the ball is actually in play, perhaps MOTD should consider how little of the programme is football and how much is talking twats.

I guess MOTD will be much shorter since they only have a contracts for a certain amount of highlights, it will be interesting to see if the commentary is removed as well.
We can always hope.

As soon as MotD drop the presenters it is dead.
Why wait until 1030pm to watch it when you can watch highlights instantly on sky?

Find it on the internet? Many of them can't even work out how to switch on NFC to access their season ticket!
