So we played an extra attacking midfielder and BR choked it? Surely that was a positive attacking selection? To add, I think Praet should have started over Maddison.

He choked it by getting his arse kicked by Klopp tactically yet again. BR looks like a little boy on the touchline when Klopp is across from him.

We were complete and utter shite from start to finish

That is all
Yes but we actually got worse the more the game went on. I hope Albrighton never has to play again. Even Fofana had a shocker. Maddison was beyond awful. Tielemans totally inept.

3-0 down and still doesn’t bring Nacho on.

Awful from minute one. Albrighton, Evans and Tielemans stank out the place but I suppose with the latter two, you might be able to point to fatigue. We looked a shadow of the team we have been for the most part this season. It's one game, we move on.

Substitutions were completely ineffective. I think Rodgers may have decided that he wanted to have a go at them tonight. Bad decision. The personnel may have been attacking but they were never given a chance to get going.

Liverpool were absolutely brilliant tonight it has to be said. It is the best they have played all season.

Ndidi was the biggest miss today for me. Both in terms of his ability to recover possession and his aerial support at set pieces.
Actually, your absolutely right.

****ing hell, I think I may have caught Boc disease. I forgot about him!

Best team won, simple.

And just like last boxing day, we've been well and truly put in our places.

We probably could have done better but Liverpool were relentless and clearly the better team.

Really disappointing the way we conceded 2 of the goals but it could have easily been more so not worth going over too much.

Justin best player for us, not that he had much to compete against but I thought he was the one bright spark from us tonight.

Just need to make sure we bounce back well from this but Thursday will be a tricky match too.

Yeah, worth keeping in mind that Ndidi, Soyuncu, Ricardo and Castagne would have all started and would all have made a difference.
in that formation I'm not sure they would have made that much of a difference we just stood off them all game

Considering the players we've got missing I'm still content at this stage with most things. Can't understand the unwillingness to make changes before 60mins unless we're winning. Would have liked to see us give it a go but meh....

Key tonight was that both Evans and Tielemans were overplayed by their international sides yet again and we suffered the consequences.

I wouldn't be offering Evans a new deal unless he quits international football. And Tielemans is being overplayed by Belgium and us. It's like whipping a knackered horse.

Without four key players, and having two of the key remaining players so below their best, we were shadows of our normal selves. It was too much for us.

The good news is that our next 3 matches are against bottom 5 teams. 3 wins from that lot and we could possibly be back in 1st place.

We've lost to some absolute shite teams (on paper) so far. **** knows what to expect.
