I don't want my beloved Leicester City to get relegated this season, next or ever. The reality of things is that I have no saying in the matter.
I want to see players play with a passion, fight for everyball, get upset at losing a game. Alas this appears to be something that we haven't seen from a City player in a few years. (Don't even mention Hume).

It used to be, when Leicester lost I'd be like a bear with a sorehead. Nowadays, it's accepted with a shrug of the shoulders.

I coach an U12's team, they show more passion, desire and an attitude that I wish Leicester players would show, but then they are only on £5 a week pocket money (dependant on parents paying ability!) and not 3 -5 k +.

In answer, I don't want us to go down, and I don't think we will but if the dreaded happens the sun will still come up tomorrow.

Agree with you regarding the lack of passion from the players. But i haven't seen or heard any passion from IH either (well not enough to convince me) hes the right man.Lots of excuses, comical answers and innuendos, but not enough passion, unfortunately.

edit: he had a great oppotunity to show some passion against plymouth, but decided to show them respect and us disrespect.

How many people would agree that if we sack Ollie, we're doomed?

There is a good chance that this is true and I really don't believe it should be considered a formality with our resources. There's a lot of quality in the side, players who went up last year, including some who were top scorers and players of the year for those teams. Plus I'm not sure Ollie is bringing much stability himself, lots of over-reactions when we win as well as when we lose (we either have nothing, or everything to worry about when you read what he has to say after games, and there's no settled line up).

If we go down, MM will be gone, and it will be a long time, imo, before we go forward again.

If you can so accurately predict the future, be a dear and tell us where we will finish this, season, end all of this speculation

and we could be doomed if we dont :102::)

Maybe we need an older head type manager,we tend to employ up and coming younger type Managers when maybe its a old head we really need.Maybe I'm just clutching at straws:102:

Milan talked about walking away this season. To stay while in league 1 would no doubt test him again.

His 3 year plan would seriously be under threat, and in his words 'he would have failed'.

Other than Megson who did a runner before he became to badly infected and Levein who has served out his penance in the SPL- the pattern is for Leicester managers to arrive up and coming and to leave en route to career destruction.

I don't think it would make any difference who manages for the rest of this season - we will still be ok. Sadly, I am becoming sceptical as to whether any quality manager would take the job in the light of the circumstances at Leicester.

I'm NOT saying he should go, in fact I'd give him just a little longer, but I'd say there's a growing argument to suggest we COULD - potentially - do a lot better with a carefully measured appointment. I'd say it's that 'COULD' which should define whether we get rid or not, as opposed to whether or not Ollie's doing well. I bet a lot of managers out there are looking at City and thinking 'I could do a great deal better' even as we speak. Instability is only one of many many factors which can lead to relegation. I'd put the standard of the boss first.

I'm worried not only by results, but moreso by his demeanour and apparent lack of sophistication, even in comparison to the likes of Levein. It's getting harder and harder to say we're more likely to go down if we get rid, when you're staring at this sort of inconsistency and 4 losses out of 5.

Spot on RF, the club has become a joke, would any decent Manager risk his reputation to come and work for a chairman who goes through more Managers in 12 months than most people change their computer log in password !!!

But given Milan's record at appointing Manager's do you really believe he is capable of making that all important carefully measured appointment. IMO it is like groundhog day, we are in a rut and there are some decent candidates out there, at present Billy Davies and Sam Alladyce, however as so often proved those calibre of managers tend to be linked but never materialise and yet another fantastic opportunity goes begging.

You have to start asking what the reasons are as to why these calibre of Managers keep their distance when the City job is available but then go to clubs of similar potential and size, is it the club, is it Milan or a bit of both :102:

Dare I say Joe Royle might have been ok.....:icon_redf

In all seriousness, you can never tell how sucessful a manger will be till he is here. Either up and coming, or a been and done it type. Any manager deserves time to get thigns sorted though and MM doesnt do anyone any favours by not coming out and saying Holloways job is safe.

What we did against Naarwich shows that we can play well and beat teams. At least this shows we are starting to somethings right sometimes, this has to be as good a reason as any to let Holloway have till the end of next season IMO.

But he did just that two weeks ago following the press reports that Holloway was on his way. He couldn't have been clearer on the subject

Does he have to come out every feckin' week and do it :102:

You lot are missing the point.

If MM fired IH and we still went down, MM would be blamed for it because of his obvious feck ups.

If MM keeps IH and we go down, MM can blame IH and make him carry the can and the gormless idiots who believe every word MM spouts, will be happy to continue to call him the saviour.

Therefore, MM won't fire IH before the end of the season.

IH will take a year to completely get the team the way he wants it. He'll at least need a complete pre season with them. His record shows that he's not a manager that tends to make an instant impact. It takes him time. MM was probably too thick to check out this evidence before appointing him. IH can hardly be blamed now for doing pretty much what he's done everywhere he's been before.

Anyway, a bit of a relegation scare is good for us. If we'd got 6 more points right now, the rest of the season would be incredibly dull. Give me a bit of bottom 3 flirtation anyday.

In fairness I'm not sure Milan would make a good appointment and that, in addition to the limited time Holloway's had, puts me off the idea of changing again. But realistically, if I knew Davies was lined up I'd be very very tempted. Two or three losses down the line and Milan might agree.

I think Milan definitely puts people off. The Kelly dismissal made sense, but the Allen one still doesn't and, right or wrong, it affects people's perceptions of the club. And of course Milan's erratic behaviour goes back a lot further in time than that.

If we go down it's not Ollie's fault, whether he stays or goes. Milan has to take the responsibility for having employed the wrong manager last summer and got himself into a nest of vipers by recruiting every obscure player he could find with an outrageously over-paid agent. Then he lost his mind after a 4-1 win and made 2 very bizarre appointments in quick succession.

That said, sacking Ollie wouldn't necessarily mean relegation. In fact, as things get worse we have to start speculating that it might even have the opposite effect.

Mandaric said after the depature of Worthington, he was looking for experience, Martin Allen had no experience at managing at this level. Then came Megson, been there done it twice, I personally thought he was doing ok; made us a hard team to beat all be it boring to watch. In came Holloway- never experienced getting out this division.Has he reliased he made a mistake and is now looking to rectify it by getting a done it before manager?

Has he managed a club that has got out of this division? Im not calling for the axe I'm just stating a fact: Mandaric wanted a man who'd been there done it and out of the 3 manager that had come in this season IMO Megson had been the most successful hence the reason he left and never got sacked.
