Just heard him say on The Guardian football podcast that Roma definitely can't afford him, ironically because they haven't qualified for the Champions league often enough in recent years - hence the incrementally larger bids. Bandini doesn't expect Mahrez to go to Roma in the near future even though he'd like to.

Was expecting this to come, but don't see it happening. They've got Willian, Pedro and Hazard and he won't get ahead of them. Plus they're signing Ox who can be a backup in that position.

Just been reported on TalkSqawk that the new club is Barcelona and that he has been released from the squad to finalise a deal already agreed between the two clubs.

Getting a replacement for him could be complicated by the fact that the Spanish window closes 24 hours after ours.
