Said it a while a go, worth repeating...

We have 2 assistant managers.

Not overly disappointed with the scoreline, but lining up in 442 at Old Trafford is asking everyone to do 4 times as much work for the same outcome.

This bloke hasn't got a ****ing clue how to get us lined up for different games.

We've even got Judas wankers in our starting 11 playing better than they have in 14 months just because they want to leave.

I agree. I thought Schmeichel, Maguire and Morgan were immense.
Simpson and Mahrez excellent.
The rest were average. Ndidi looked like a rabbit in headlamps occasionally.

Several criticisms saying we were setup wrong.

With the personnel available today, how should we have setup?

The question is, who the **** is responsible for the pathetic personnel we had available?

We won the Premier League and Andy King is coming in at Old Trafford.

Not ****ing good enough from some overpaid **** at the football club.

I personally thought Morgan was good today, after looking pretty poor in previous games. Some other positive performances as well, but the midfield is a real issue and I just don't know why we haven't addressed this (yet?) in the transfer market. I also hate how we set up for the game. Poor.

We have Andy King, this addresses both of the issues you have.

There were two choices, either three in central defence or three in central midfield. Either system would have made it much harder for Man Utd to control the game. 4-4-1-1 was never going to work.

In my opinion, we needed an attacking threat because we were always liable to concede so I'd have played three forward players which would require us to play 3-4-3. Based on those available, I'd have picked:

Schmeichel
Maguire Morgan Fuchs
Albrighton N'Didi Amartey Chilwell
Mahrez Iheanacho Vardy

I know Iheanacho isn't 100% but I'd rather that he start and come off for Slimani if necessary than be a sub. I think we needed to be stronger in central midfield and Amartey is the best option available for that. Physically, N'Didi was alone against Pogba and Matic. It was a horrible mismatch. Also, if we'd played three forwards, they wouldn't have been able to push so many players ahead of the ball. This system would also have given Maguire more licence to come out of defence with the ball. Chilwell would have been able to get forward too because they leave their right side very short as neither of their players there want to be wide. Albrighton would just be tracking Martial mostly but is more likely to create chances from the right side.

In short, this system, although far from perfect, would at least have given Mourinho problems. All we did was make his job incredibly easy.

An interesting set up; one with a few issues, as you mentioned. Not so sure Old Trafford would have been the best place to try this formation out. But we certainly shouldn't have gone 4-4-1-1 again.

it's like watching Columbo, you see Steve Martin and think you've seen it before. Then you realise he's about 10 different characters in different movies.
Who? Columbo or Steve Martin? Or do they have the same IP address coincidentally?

OK. Thanks. Sounds like it could be worth a try.

Can the smashing boys still have the chicken nuggets as well?

Can you send this to SuperScout to pass on to Shakey?

They're probably the same person. I may have got Steve Martin mixed up with Leslie neilson...they're definitely the same person. Aye, it was Leslie neilson in columbo.

Just saying.

The team was set up for a 0-0 - it was so negative it reminded me of the Megson days.

Our passing was just atrocious. We'd win the ball and then just give it back to them a second later.

Maguire was sensational. Morgan not far behind.

N'Didi terrible once again. Albrighton and James not much better. We have a embarrassing number of central midfielders, yet an embarrassing lack of quality there.

If Gray had a brain cell he'd be the first name on our team sheet and would be a regular in the England squad. Shame he hasn't.
