Kop prices are £22 for grade B matches - cheaper for members.
For the equivalent seat at Portsmouth you'd pay over 50% more.

I don't think there are plans to make any league matches grade A this season.

thanks. The OS quotes £25 for southampton which is grade B. i thought it was the same throughout the ground.

does anybody know season ticket prices for portsmouth?

£429 or £490 deepnding upon where exactly you want to be soaked to the skin

£130 more for premiership football. i would say thats not too unreasonable.

You can go to the Southampton game and Stoke/Palace for £25 in total.

Be aware though that it's for 6 less games - very nearly twice as much per game as we pay.

With a larger capacity stadium i can't see the ticket prices rising to the levels of Portsmouth. We have roughly 13,000 more seats that Portsmouth. More than 50%.

All of them empty.........

Yes because of the division we are in. If we can get promoted, fans will come back. Maybe not to full capacity but 25-28k.

Likewise with the Mandaric takeover. I hope it happens. I also hope i win the lottery, i guess i need to start playing it first though.

But if the ticket price is related to the quality of football, as you seem to be suggesting, why don't they charge more than Pompey?
Because they know their fans won't accept being ripped off.

Being in the Premiership is a novelty for Portsmouth fans, once it's worn off they won't continue to pay that much.

And of course if Mandaric had built the stadium he promised them they'd be able to get bigger crowds.

If the cheapest ticket at Leicester was £35 I wouldn't go, and I'm sure there are a lot more people who would feel the same way. I wouldn't be happy to pay that much for the money to go to a bunch of overpaid prima donnas, and into the pockets of an owner who looks like he's doing it just for the money.

You will find its based on ground capacity. Smaller grounds have to charge more to try and match revenue of bigger clubs, this is acheivable especially if demand outstrips supply.
