But at least they get their money back now :icon_roll :icon_roll :icon_roll
To be honest I do not begrudge them getting out what they put in.

Why?
Why?
MM has got far more money that the amount he's reported to be able to loan to us, he'll spend as much as he thinks he needs to spend.
Jeff when has milan done this in his entire history? you have completely ignored his cv.

When he took over Portsmouth in 1998 he promised them a new stadium. 8 years later they're still in the same shithole.
He had 9 different managers working for him at Portmsouth (including a couple of caretakers), only one of them was any good. So his record at appointing managers isn't great.
He may be great for us, he may be crap. Time will tell. But if people are going into this thinking he's the messiah they should be prepared to be disappointed.

I am asking when has he brought a club, stripped it and then sold for short term profit. Which is what you keep telling everyone he might do.

No one knows for certain what wealth he has to play with. Maybe the 25m was all he had to play with???
and i think i like it...
That is an interesting question. If you look back at the end of his time at Portsmouth:
2004/5 he pulls £10 million out of the club
Jan 2006 he announces a surprise sale of half the club to Gaydamak
Autumn 2006 he announces a surprise sale of the other half.
One interpretation is that he was desperate for a lot of money, very quickly. For what - who knows - for none of his other speculations are common knowledge. But it could be that he has a lot less money than he sold Portsmouth for.
But against that - it would be easy enough to pay off the Teachers and re-borrow £16 million against the ground, meaning all he needs is the £6million for the shares and whatever he plans for players.
Me neither, what upset me was we kept hearing remarks about future concerns of the club when the real stumbling block was his valuation of the shares, all spin in the press and on here from the FT.
I've not been saying that. I'm saying should have guarantees in place to secure the long term of the club, whoever takes over.
If MM gets hit by a bus the day after he takes over I'd want to know that the club would be in safe hands and wouldn't suddenly have to find the money he'd loaned us. I'd want assurances that if he's here for 5 years and we haven't been promoted he won't leave us in the lurch.
The fact is he got lucky with Portsmouth, by finally appointing a manager who did well for them, then when he wanted out he found someone to buy the club from them. He might not be so lucky with us, and it's how he'd react to failure that we need to be concerned about.
would you blame the manager/s if that happened over that period, or would you blame Milan for appointing them?
