Fans FC - I know not the most iron clad of sources

The quotes are from the Mockery, full article: http://www.thisisleicestershire.co....ts=yes&more_nodeId2=132395&contentPK=16103865

And it goes on to say:

Mandaric made his first trip to the Walkers Stadium since takeover talks started when he watched the 4-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday.

The setback, which means City have taken just one point from the last 18, underlined the urgency of the financial backing for City boss Robert Kelly that the takeover will provide.

Mandaric said: "I think the manager needs help to bring in new players, but I was impressed with the attitude of the players, especially with the referee not helping them!

"My experience tells me the squad needs the addition of some experience to help the good, younger players. The manager knows that too, of course, and is obviously doing his best under the circumstances.

"It was also good to see that, clearly, the players were all playing for their manager, and I thought that was a very important point."

Mandaric's £25million takeover is still going through legal processes and the plan is that, all being well, he will be in place to help boost City in the January transfer window.

His visit to City was a clear indication that things are moving in the right direction.

He certainly picked the right match to come, eh?

As opposed to which by the way? I can only think of Ipswich and So'ton at home that were half decent.

Actually it may be a blessing in disguise, perhaps he knows more about what he needs to spend in January now to realise his investment.

Well losing 4-1 is'nt exactly a nice greeting for the new boss is it? And i suppose he does know what to get now. 11 NEW ****ING PLAYERS!

No it's not Foxello, but it is a better representation of where the club is right now I guess. Imagine if we'd won 4-1, he may have thought that we didn't need the funding so much.

Where as now i'm shit scared he might take one look at our current predicament and **** off to Wolves.

Hmmmm. He wants LCFC over Wolves for many reasons I believe the biggest being we're cheaper!

Dead right - the Wolves offer gives control of the club for free (save £6m) in return for a cash injection of £20m (reduced from £40m in the pre-xmas sale), plus, I understand, continued involvement of some of the current regime.

Do people really believe he's gone through all this (plus, we know, several months of pre-announcement research) without knowing exactly what he is buying in terms of the current squad & its capabilities. You don't get rich that way.

Wolves are £14m more expensive. They want cash no strings attached, he is offering us loans.

as a business prospect we are better for him, as a footballing prospect wolves are light years ahead.

Not sure that light years is the correct term. On the evidence of things our youth team is better, and should we sign a few decent players the only thing between us will be points.

To me the youth team means nothing, half of them wont make it at any level and from that maybe only one or two will make it at this level. It means nothing IMO. Our first team will take at least 2 seasons to build up even with money.

Theres only one Newton

Newton!

Damn FT you just got served! Hope it didn't sting too bad.:icon_lol:

Can't wait til uncle Milan fixes this shite. In the meantime we are just going to have to endure a sure fire stint in the bottom 3.

A bit harsh there, SF......

Seems to me (from what I've read so far in this thread) that the FT have been as honest and truthful as possible in this particular instance, whilst others have only passed on 'insider' info - and I'm including myself in this instance......

Fair play But I wasn't posting out of malice or anything like that, hence the smiley.

I think that I like a lot of people have been frustrated with the Trust rather than actively wishing any ill on them. I also think that reactions and feelings would not run so high had we actually been performing on the field. In the context of a bit of a nightmare weekend for the club I have been restrained compared to many.

I admit that at times I have been out of line, but I am emotional about LCFC and sometimes it gets the better of me and occassionally brings out my worst (in a completely non violent way of course...I'm not a nutter or anything like that:icon_lol: ).

The FT - along with the players and the team manager are all part of the problem. The FT pretends it has the interests of LCFC at heart - and all it cares about is its own involvement. I don't care what MM says to them now as long as he kicks them into touch....as far as Welford Road if possible.

I don't understand the dogs' abuse the FT are getting in this instance ....from a legal point, they are surely obliged to keep quiet about the intricate details of the deal......As I understand it, it seems that they are forthcoming with more concrete info than any other source/Muckery journo/insider etc....

Finally (at long last!), the people involved in putting deals in place for our club are showing some professionalism in maintaining a silence, whilst the rest of us can merely speculate/pray/criticise/drink ourselves to oblivion....
