The details will be given to every shareholder.

Our members are therefore entilted to have details of the bid, however this can only be achieved via a members meeting & verbal briefing.

We will make it quite clear during the meeting, that no member must divulge the discussions publically (eg message boards), no fan should want to put the deal in jeopardy.

thats a big risk IMO

I hope the first thing he does is reestablish the reserves, I think thats a big reason for our current plight.

Good shout though that will be the case when we are in the Prem. ;)

Certainly couldn't at the moment - they would only be able to field about 3 outfield players & 2 goalies!

Well we had reserves last year and the year before... we were shit then also.

It is a difficult one, we should consult our members whereever possible, but we will discuss with the club what legally can be said.

However all our members are indeed shareholders via their membership fee so are entitled to be consulted.

The main limiting factor is time constraints, if the goalposts move & a quick decision is required there may not be time to carry out member consultation, in which case the members will have to rely on their elected representatives to make the right decision.

I wish they would hurry up with this flipping offer!:icon_conf

By they I obviously mean Milan and his people. At this rate they cannot complain if they are not in for January.

Probably the prelude to a demand for an immediate decision - because it's imperative to get someone in by the transfer window.

so if the FT tells their members then we can expect everyone to post saying "i know things but i can't tell you" sounds familiar but i can't genuinely imagine things staying in house that way

but what else can they do?
Any of the shareholders could do the same, FT members or not

your right on this one but you will back the bid wont you

they can ask people not to say anything not that it will stop it coming out in the end but the person that dose leak the news can screw things up in a big way there will always be times when things are not alowed out but we all know that just dont need it rubbing in ,i think this was what your getting at

but what else can they do?

dead right

Redditch - we aren't against the MM potential takeover, however we can't give it our backing either until we have the full details via a legal offer.

All we have done is asked a series of questions, which we would do to anybody wanting to run our club

Well, I wish you were able to project a somewhat more positive attitude towards an initiative which might just mean that Leicester will have a football team again with players and management worthy of the history of the club - rather than the over carping attitude which has led lots of people tos uspect that your position is one of narrow self interest.

No need for any leaks, I reckon. The bid will be pretty much half now, half later (on promotion or sale). The price - something between (in total) £5M and £6.5M. The written commitments (though just how enforcable they will ever be, no-one can tell) - not to take the ground away from the club, loans not at an onerous rate of interest and to make an unspecified amount available for player transfers. The demand - 90% agreement within a week. The elephant in the room - groundshare.

what makes you think I'll be in the room?

just a point in defense of the FT

at our 'extraordinary' shareholders meeting, there was a unanimous vote to take the MM bid to the next stage.

that would include the FT

I understand that and I'm not being silly and suggesting that the FT are 'bad people'.

My problems with them are twofold: first the general delusion that they have - or even should have - any significant leverage on the management of the club;

second; that because of where they are coming from, that they have become part of the problem at LCFC and that they have not said whilst the whole matter needs to be treated with care and due caution - that nonetheless this represents a perhaps once in a lifetime possibility of the club being lifted out of what I think is possibly a terminal decline...where it's more or less openly admitted that the current regime hasn't got the resources to stop the rot.

It's primarily about lack of money and consequently a dreadful squad managed by a 'nice' guy who just isn't up to it.....but it's also about weak attitudes as well e.g. hiding behind spin, clutching at straws simply because there isn't the leadership/ resource to do much about it.

when the **** is to be resolved-is the 15th december still the expected date......

I think we would all like the answer to that one DD!

Can the FT tell us when they have received an official bid (but not divulge the details) or are you not even allowed to do that?
