Suggesting we should buy a replacement for Kate is, quite frankly, ridiculous.
I wasn't suggesting we should at all, I was suggesting that Ulloa is as oit of form as those listed, but nobody is clamouring to replace them.

We can do better than Ulloa of course, but I shan't be panicking if we don't get a new striker.

SkySports reporting Amartey deal is £3.47m.

I was listening to R5L on the way home from work this afternoon. Claudio was asked about the Amartey deal. He responded by asking, "Who is this person?" And then went on to say that he would talk about new players after they arrive.

I saw the interview, it was Claudio at his 'tongue in cheek' best. He will not confirm until all the paper work, medical etc. are complete.

Gutted

Perfect for our style of play (as is Berahino)

Opportunity lost

London Standard reporting that we asked about him and were interested but he wanted to move to Southampton because the location suited him better and he was more likely to start every match.

Mind you, if David Gold is even close to being right that he's on £100k a week then no wonder there were few takers and he could well have caused some wage inflation here as others would be wanting parity.

All that, plus his notorious knee and I personally think he's best avoided.
