I agree.

But I'm trying to be positive and thinking in any other season we'd be saying "imagine what we could achieve if they stay with us". But we already achieved more than I ever thought we could.

Just hope the Vardy stuff by Collymore is nonsense and Mahrez goes to prove himself on the continent.

But such a shame we won't see the 2015/16 team in the CL.

I suspect we've had contingency plans for some time, and the signing of players we've been chasing for some time demonstrate a clear head and long term view. We may not win the league but we'll be fine.

If Kante and Schlupp go for a combined £41m we will be £9m net up on business to date in this close season, on top of the £150m odd well pull in just for turning up this season.
Based on that we can be looking at whoever we want to strengthen the squad.
The only thing a new signing will need to do is give the squad who remain the confidence that we will still be able to play our style effectively.
In Amartey, Mendy and Musa we have bought in GAS all over the pitch. If we manage to pull in a centre half, a striker and another number 10 without necessarily going for the obvious signings then I think we'll be well set.
If we start signing people who look like Everton signings, like Witsel, then we'll be in trouble

I think this will be a big year for Chilwell, Amartey, Drinkwater and Gray. If Chilwell and Gray can fire then we have another £40m worth of players that nobody will be expecting......
