Speculation Motown's hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded Summer 2016 rumours thread

The Telegraph article says he didn't travel to Austria which sounds bad, but could also be because he's on a recruitment mission!

Would be a huge, huge blow to lose Walsh! If he wants to be a DoF then let's give him a similar position here?

Nice title, but the same job he doing for us. He has just signed a new and better contract, we can tell Everton to go forth and multiply.

He didn't join Arsenal because the role wasn't attractive. This one is.

I advocated offering him a Director of Recruitment role when NP was still here. We've been quite foolish in upping his salary but not his role.

It's not about that, though, is it. If it's a bigger role for Walsh and with a higher pay packet, then it will be tempting. The size of a club isn't really relevant.

It was more of a general point on Everton.

Walsh was supposed to be off to Aresenal last season and that never happened. Everton may indeed want him but this won't happen.

It's interesting that he's apparently in talks and that he hasn't travelled to Austria.

Would it be cheeky to ask him to scout his own replacement before he leaves?

As far as I know he has a whole team of scouts working under him so the techniques and knowledge he's brought to the club won't just vanish.

This could also mean a return to the days of signing fat, old former international strikers on loan and fringe players from the manager's former team.

Remember when Neilson, Maybury and De Vries all turned up within a day or two of each other? So exciting, But that was somewhat ruined by Steve Lovell turning us down..... This Premier League winning thing could have happened a lot sooner if he had just bought into Levein's philosophy.

Still can't believe we missed out on Andy Kirk.....

Maybe he's not travelled there because he's doing his usual sitting on a park bench in France or something looking for our next star.

Realistically, Dodoo is nowhere near first-team consideration. It would benefit him to sign for Rangers on a permanent deal.

"eicester City are facing another potential player exit after West Bromwich Albion made a £9million offer for Jeffrey Schlupp."

WTF are they talking about? The only way Schlupp would leave for West Brom would be if we told him he was no longer wanted. This isn't Arsenal or Chelsea - it's ****ing West Bromwich Albion. Even if we hadn't just won the Premier League, WBA would not be a better option than City.

And if Brady - a utility left-sided player in a relegated team is worth £20 million then Schlupp is worth at least £25 million.

You certainly have to laugh at some of the valuations being thrown around. Hopefully we can keep the squad together. Kante is a bit different, he wasnt 100% sold on coming here in the first place and maybe the transfer clause was the reason he decided to give it a go. Always seemed like he'd be using the move as a footstep onto a 'bigger club'.

He'll always be remembered for being part of the greatest Leicester side in history but hopefully it comes back to bite him in the ass. As we saw last season, the bigger club's don't always get what they want. I don't see why we can't kick on next year and have some success again :)

Today is a bad day for transfer talks for us isn't it!

Mahrez rumours gathering pace and spreading like wildfire tonight (although seem to be quoting the same French source), plus Kante and Steve Walsh....

Stan Collymore also tweeting that 2 Prem clubs are still interested in Vardy...

It's very important we keep likes of Schlupp, Ulloa, Simpson etc. All important players last season and if we're going to lose our big hitters then it's vital we at least keep the nucleus of last seasons squad together, keep our incredible team spirit, and add the quality over the top of that

Adding that bit of quality becomes more difficult when they see the big names leaving.

Graz, with the Euros over there is virtually nothing going on...

...time for the press to embellish what they have.
