Speculation Motown's hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded Summer 2017 rumours thread

If DD leaves, get Wilshere in and hope we can get the best out of him in a better atmosphere.

Could be just the quality we need in the middle.

In the middle of the treatment room?

Does remy still play football? Wheelchair would be a big gamble, could pay off though.

I wrote in the match thread last night that I thought we should consider going in for David Brooks from Sheffield United. Perhaps, having only seen him play for 90 minutes that is a bit premature but watching the highlights later on I really do think this kid has a huge amount of talent. He looks really exciting and he had Chilwell in his pocket whenever he went over to that side. Our midfield is crying out for someone to get forward and attack defences - the more I watched him last night and subsequently, the more I think we should offer a wedge for him and test Sheffield United's resolve.

On Jack Wilshere - I'd be very pleased to see him coming in. You know he isn't going to be fit all season but when he was he was very good for Bournemouth. He is naturally talented and if we could get him anywhere near back to his best he'd be better than anything we have presently.

I'd still prefer Ross Barkley.

Why not have both?

Probably get torn to shreds here but here goes.....

Behave.

Wilshire and James as central midfielders is suicidal. Why not get Anderton out of retirement too?

Wilshire was fecking garbage for Bournemouth last season don't forget.

Just a little 'whoosh' noise there perhaps? ;) No, sorry, to clarify, I was indulging in a little bit of ironic understatement.

That said, I was not aware of the popular name attributed to the said young man, unavailed as I am of the tabloid press. ;)

Double-whoosh then. Sarcasm is difficult on the internet....

Who said anything about James?

It would be Ndidi and Wilshere

Bournemouth fans from their Visual Impairment Supporters Group maybe.
From a Bournemouth fan:

He created the most chances of any player last year at 34 chances from 22 starts, equal with Arter who started 33 matches.

Thats why we brought him in rather than goals directly, which as has already been stated he was more than unlucky not to do.....

Many of their fans saw how creative he was and would take him back in a heartbeat. But you're right of course, what would we want with a player who creates so many chances..... oh.... hang on...

You may not want to take a risk on him because of his injury record, that's understandable but to say he was garbage at Bournemouth simply isn't true.

Wilshire would be fairly cheap as his contract is up, its a gamble but I agree its one worth taking, I also bet our medical team is better than Arsenal's just look at the comparative injury records
