I'll admit I thought he was nothing special. He was very hit and miss. At the end of the day we supposedly couldn't afford him....so it's all irrelevant, unless you consider that we then pretended we could afford Souttar, that left back etc etc and considering that shit then signing an average looking Lookman was a no brainer.

Yes. Lots. He was an excellent option albeit an inconsistent one at times. Had we been able to buy him without falling further foul of FFP, it would have been a no brainer.

He did OK for us but he was nowt particularly special. Fair play he's kicked on and must have improved since he was here. Gasperini is a great coach by all accounts... with us he was under Bodger Rodgers so maybe that explains it.
